We came here on a Friday afternoon & ordered two pasta dishes to go. The location is industrial, with free but limited street parking only.
The restaurant has a small & cozy dine in area & separate area for take out orders.
We tried the pappardelle Bolognese & cavatelli al guanciale. We noticed for some items the pricing online differed from the menu on site - the prices were cheaper online. I am not sure if this is because the menu wasn't updated or perhaps there is a different charge for dining on site.
We immediately went to the car & tasted the food, the pappardelle is described as cooked in a'slow cooked meat sauce with beef veal, pork & fennel sausage' however the sauce tasted more like plain tomato & was slightly too acidic. It was missing some sweetness & there wasn't nearly enough noticeable meat. The pasta was otherwise well cooked but this was an average dish. I would not re-order.
The cavatelli on the other hand was extremely flavorful, a rich creamy sauce that was very decadent. The only drawback was the shape of the pasta, these looked like fat maggots.
In terms of pricing & portion, I thought this was pretty fair since this is supposed to be fresh handmade pasta.
The location itself was difficult to get to for us & the size of the restaurant was quite small for dine in, we would have to make sure we reserve in advance if we planned on coming back.
So happy worth the food !! BEST pasta I've had since I've been to Italy & delicious tiramisu! Will be back 💕
You can't go wrong with a meal at Brama. Whether it's for pizza, pasta, or salads, you're in for a treat. The food is well seasoned, delicious, & well-portioned. The service is professional yet warm & welcoming. & the ambiance works just as well for a weekday as it does for a weekend visit. You'll feel like you're sitting in a lush, modern courtyard - & why wouldn't you want to enjoy a delicious meal in that setting?
Was impressed with the reviews & thought I'd give this place a try. We were warmly greeted at the door & promptly sat at our table. We were immediately advised of some items not available on tonight's menu. George our waiter was kind & patient & we really enjoyed his service. He told us about tonight's specials & left us time to make our decisions. We shared the mortadolce pizza as an appetizer. The flavours were very good but I think the hydration of the dough wasn't high enough. I think a bit more work on the dough recipe is warranted. The pasta plates were the real winners. My wife's Mac a la Gigi was delicious. A bit of spice & a complex tomato sauce. Was a special dish. My Cavatelli with beef cheeks was also incredible. The complexity of the sauce teemed with the super tender & delectable beef cheeks was a dish I will crave. For dessert we shared the pain perdu. It was good with its honey & nuts with cinnamon. & a scoop of ice cream. Reminded me of the taste of Loukoumades. Prices were reasonable & a revisit is a must. Highly recommended.
The food was super delicious!!! I wish I had taken a picture of the delicious pasta but I was too hungry. Cute cozy atmosphere. The owner even gave us these tasty shots that tasted just like bubble gum. The waitress missed a few things but it was busy & she was still very kind. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a delicious meal.
I've never understood people that keep going back to the same establishment. This place turned me into a regular & I must of eaten there food over 30x & have catered on multiple occasions with high praise by all my guests. Braised beef cavatelli is melt In your mouth, Gigi pasta is fire! The pizza's are top notch. You can really feel the chef cares! What a gem!
My fav Italian spot in MTL. The pasta never misses. Gnocchi is outta this world.. will be back!
The pizza was just okay. Fresh ingredients but all the toppings were stuck to the cheese. The Toasted Marshmallow gelato had little chunks of ice in it. Not a fan & it's a small portion for 7CAD. The star of the show is the MUSIC & the PASTA. Wow that pasta was definitely a 9/10. The portion was decently good, the flavor was good. Get the Linguine or Mac. Thank me later. My party enjoyed only the Margherita pizza but you will need to add chili oil & parm. The vibes are good. The staff was kind. The pasta & music saved the day. Skip on the pizza. Skip on the gelato imho.
Ok, this place is "out of the box". Just had my first meal & I'm hooked. The food was next-level, very flavorful. The pasta was spot on, loved every bite. Great vibe, super friendly, & authentic flavors. Thanks you owner & chiefs

I ate here a couple of times & it's always very good! As a vegetarian my go tos are the Fettuccine rose - super delicous homemade pasta with a creamy sauce - & the Quattro pizza - four types of cheese with caramelized onions that I can't have enough of. Staff is always very friendly.
The best Italian I've had in Montréal & potentially the best I've ever had. The seasoning was perfect, the food was delicious & the pasta was cooked to a perfect chewiness.
Amazing pizza. I've tried 3 types (Margherita, Vegetarian, Sopresatta), & they were all great. Dough is fantastic, almost naan-like. Fresh pasta was good too, but the pizza was insane.
Brama is by far the best Italian restaurant in Montreal! Chef John is the most hospitable cher/owner, making you feel welcomed & at home every time. The food is always top notch, especially the grilled octopus entrée & the Cavatelli braised beef pasta bowl (to die for!). Not to mention, their heavenly cheese cake to top it all off. Can't recommend this place enough!
the gnocchi was absolutely amazing melt in your mouth. i forgot to take a photo of mine everyone's pasta was delicious & the pepperoni pizza with spicy oil tasted amazing as well
I cannot put into words how spectacularly outstanding this place is in every conceivable respect. Everything I am about to say doesn't even scratch the surface of what you can expect from this place. My girlfriend & I have gone 3 times in just the last 7 days because we have been positively floored by absolutely everything we have had. At this point we're just going down the menu & are continuously getting baffled by how exceptional every new dish we try from this place is. There is truly no restaurant I have ever tried that exudes such passion & love for delicious food of the utmost quality as Brama. Every dish is made fresh, in house with sourced ingredients of the utmost quality imported directly from Italy. The pizzas are absolutely to die for made on fresh homemade pizza dough the Italian way as God intended. The pastas are all freshly made in house from scratch & lord have mercy can you taste it. The noodles are always perfectly aldente, the gnocchi are fluffy pillows of pure ecstasy, the radicchio salad still has me & my girlfriend fantasizing about it, & the homemade pistachio cheesecake is just inexplicably exceptional. Even the coffee is among the best you'll have. John & the team take everything you love about Italian cuisine & do it leagues better than what should be humanly possible. Though the food is worthy of a master's thesis in Italian culinary perfection unto itself, I cannot post this review without highlighting with the utmost gratitude & respect the absolutely outstanding staff & consequent service you will get here. Everybody who works at Brama is exceptionally kind, respectful, professional, provides fast service & clearly has passion for the restaurant they work for. I have never seen anything like it. You've really outdone yourself John. Though we only met you this week, you will always have our support. Keep doing what you're doing & never lose that passion. The world needs more chefs like you.
Ordered a pizza & pasta from DoorDash that were soooo delicious. The portions were big, too. The four cheese pizza (added mushrooms) was one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. We're visiting from out of town but will definitely seek out this place next time we're in Montreal!
The best hidden gem in the neighborhood! Everything we tried was absolutely amazing & everyone there was so friendly. We started with the beet salad which was delicious & had a very unique mix of flavors! We also shared the Cavatelli pasta & salsiccia pizza & we highly recommend them For dessert, their pistacchio cheesecake is a must try Will definitely be going regularily from now on!!
This place is as good as people are saying. My boyfriend & I dined in & we ordered the polpette & arancini as starters, I ordered the fettuccini rosée & he got the prosciutto arugula pizza, & we shared a hazelnut cheesecake slice for dessert. All were very, very good. Our waiter Georges was very attentive & provided great service. He told us all the pasta is made on site, even the cheesecake. Big respect for that. The interior is on the smaller side & has a modern design yet still cozy with string lights & big windows. We went on a rainy day & it was so nice. They were playing afrobeats for ambiance which is my favourite, nothing beats good food & good music. The bathroom is very clean, which in my opinion shows that they really care about their business & their clients. Apparently you can reserve the whole place for events, & of course they do catering, for large events as well. They have a wider menu for catering than for dine in. It was on the expensive side for us, our bill came to about 120$. A nice treat once in a while.
This was the best pasta I've ever had. Please open a location in Houston Texas. I would be there every day. Will definitely eat again before we leave & miss it very much when we leave
