Personnel très sympathique, il y a un peu trop d'huile dans les salades à mon goût mais le Bagnat au poulet est très bon & les cookies/brownies aussi ! Belle adresse

My cookie prayers have been answered!!
Due to my food sensitivity to eggs & dairy, it's extremely difficult to find cookies that I can safely enjoy.
TOLEDO's vegan chocolate cookies have answered my prayers!! Not only are they dairy free & egg free, they ACTUALLY taste good. Chewy & chocolatey, just like a good cookie should be!!
Sadly, I only discovered them towards the end of my stay in Montreal. I brought 4 back to Vancouver with me...should have bought more!!!
TOLEDO, any plans to open a bakery in Vancouver??

Delicious almond croissant, ham/cheese croissant, & pistachio eclair. Tasty latte, well made, good foam. HUGE bread & sweets collection. Quick line, attentive service. Clean bathroom. Limited seating with the Saturday morning rush, but it's a popular place! Fun to watch the bakers handling the dough.

Pastries are such a personal delight - what melts one person's heart might feel a bit too sweet for another. I recently indulged in Toledo's chocolate éclair filled with chocolate cream, but I found it a bit on the sugary side. Interestingly, I wasn't alone in that opinion.
It seems the tide is turning toward less sugary treats, creating desserts that strike a perfect balance & appeal to a broader range of taste buds.

Le service était impeccable! Même les clients étaient très sympathique & chaleureux. J'ai pris des choquettes, un croissant, un chai aux carottes & un moka au chocolat à la cerise... c'était tellement bon!! Je vais définitivement revenir 💚

J'adore cette boulangerie, c'est une de mes adresses préférées du quartier & j'y retourne régulièrement. Seul bémol pour moi est la gestion de la file. J'ai l'impression qu'un autre système serait plus efficace & juste, comme un système par numéro. Ex: si on prend quelque chose dans le frigo à l'heure du lunch, le temps qu'on se retourne de nombreuses personnes sont rentrées, il font donc soit dépasser ou retourner au début de la file. J'ai vu plusieurs personnes mal a l'aise de dépasser ou se demander si elles devaient se rendre directement a la caisse. De simples indications seraient le bienvenue! Autrement, la nourriture est toujours délicieuse & j'y retourne avec plaisir.

Le Toledo is a popular bakery on Mont-Royal Avenue, a lively pedestrian street lined with cafés, bakeries, & restaurants. Several locals we met recommended it, & it's easy to see why. The bakery is quite large, with plenty of tables & seating inside, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy your treats on site.
When we visited mid-afternoon, there was a short line, but it moved quickly thanks to the efficient team of staff behind the counter. Everyone was friendly, spoke both French & English, & happily explained the pastries & their ingredients.
Prices are very reasonable: cookies start around $3 CAD, croissants at $2.50 CAD, & pastries like brioche & cinnamon rolls are also available. I ordered a chocolatine (pain au chocolat) for $3.25 CAD & a caramel cream cruffin for $5 CAD. Both were excellent-crispy on the outside, soft & airy on the inside, & full of flavor.
If you're strolling Mont-Royal Avenue, Le Toledo is absolutely worth a stop. Grab a couple pastries to enjoy on the spot or take away-you really can't go wrong here.

Super ambiance & bel accueil !
Niveau goût, malheureusement, ce n'est pas top. Le pain durcit au bout d'une journée & les petits gâteaux ne sont pas renversants.
On peut quand même saluer le prix qui n'est pas démesuré pour un tel emplacement.
