A place where it is good to come to relax, at any time of the day of 7 @ 7 and 7/7. A bakery - Coffee bar - Urban cafeteria created by two passionate friends, Riccardo and François.
Boulangerie Le Toledo earns wide praise for exceptional breads and a wide range of pastries, from flaky croissants and chausson aux pommes to savory sandwiches and focaccia, all paired with good coffee in a warm, bright space that can feel busy at peak times. Many reviews note long lines, limited seating, occasional understaffing, and prices that can be higher than expected for Montreal. Takeaway is popular and the overall vibe is comforting and lively, with compliments for quality, aroma, and consistency, while a few comments mention inconsistent service or crowding. Overall, Boulangerie Le Toledo stands out as a go-to bakery in the area for bread lovers and pastry fans alike.
I had an amazing experience at this bakery shop. The staff are friendly, helpful & provide service with a smile. Special mention for Adrian for his recommendations & great service. Highly recommended.
The chocolate éclair 5/5 was rich but not overly sweet. The apple chausson is also 5/5?had incredibly flaky pastry with a very fresh, light apple filling. Everything tasted balanced & well made. Definitely a 5/5 bakery for me - one of those places I still crave after the trip.

Popular local bakery with great croissants & French pastries.
Sunday morning chaos, but worth the 10-minute stool hunt. This location is in one of the busiest neighborhoods in the city, so there were a lot of locals, but they're known to only use local Quebec flours & slow fermentation. We grabbed the pain suisse, chausson aux pommes, chausson dejeuner, & the almond croissant, & most of them were great.
Super crunchy layers on the almond croissant without collapsing it flat. Slightly overbaked, which gave that cookie-like crunch with just enough caramelization without bitterness. The almond mousse inside balanced it out perfectly.
The apple turnover (chausson aux pommes) was also excellent. More like a cold apple pie filling (light, not very tart-y) than a turnover, & the flaky & butter outer layer was impeccable. Only thing I didn't quite enjoy was the Chausson Dejeuner. Essentially a ham & cheese croissant, but the outer layer was way too dense & thick. Didn't quite get much ham & cheese in each bite, lost in all that dough. Still, a fantastic neighborhood spot doing serious baking.
I ordered the pistachio éclair & an iced latte here, & honestly, I was a little disappointed. The éclair had a very generous & dense filling, but for me the texture was a bit too heavy & compact - I was hoping for something lighter, smoother, & more delicate. The pistachio cream on top also tasted mostly sweet, without much of the nutty pistachio aroma coming through. There was also a slight'just taken out of the fridge' feeling to it that made it taste less fresh than expected.
I also bought one of their toasts to try later, so I can't comment on the taste yet. But visually it looked promising: the crumb structure was beautiful, & the inside looked moist & springy, which usually suggests a well-made loaf.
I used to get this turkey cranberry sandwich on a weekly basis for years when I lived in Montreal, & it's got to be in my top 5 sandwiches. Great fresh crusty baguette, healthy amount of aioli, & the carmelized onion cranberry jam are what make it stand out, because the turkey & Brie are just normal sandwich things, but this one is addicting. It's a masterpiece but so simple & I will die on that hill. Also great pastries, but the sandwich is a hidden gem. Not easily wheelchair accessible since there are a few steps
Beaucoup de choix, des produits de qualité & de la créativité. Mais, trop de sucre & manque de beurre dans les viennoiseries. De plus, une pincée de sel serait la bienvenue.
This bakery was lovely, the staff were so helpful & accommodating, the food was delicious & the matcha was good!! I was visiting Montreal & stopped in on my way home first a road snack. I'm gluten intolerant & they helped me find the right person to talk to so we could make sure my dietary needs were met. At first it seemed like there wasn't anything they carried I could eat so I decided to get a matcha. I'm picky about matcha & this one was very good! Just as I got my drink the person I was speaking to found me & brought me macaroons! They are 100% gluten free & they were so yummy! Satisfying to bite into, the coconut is perfectly chewable, not dry. I highly recommend checking them out!
Incredible bakery with solid coffee! I've never been disappointed by any of their baked goods & they are always cycling in new items.
Their seating area is usually busy, but they are located close to La Fontaine (a beautiful park). I would strongly recommend enjoying your pastry & coffee at the park.

Visited yesterday, asked for 2 items & only got 1 of them. A bunch of young kids work there who cannot do a single task, if you cannot remember 2 items, you shouldn't work on the customer side.
Super busy local Boulangerie. The savoury pastries are amazingly buttery & flaky. My favourite is the egg & mushroom or the spinach & feta pastry. The ham & cheese croissant is really good too, they use swiss cheese. Be sure to go early! I came at 10:30 am & they were out of the egg & mushroom already.
They can't be bothered to help you choose an item if you don't speak French - & their vegan options are way too limited, if they have anything at all (just chocolate chip cookies if you like extremely sweet & greasy stuff).
Café Boulangerie da provare assolutamente!!!! Il pane è buonissimo, anche i loro dolci. Abbiamo preso piu volte i loro sandwich, applausi per quello con il tacchino!
