Server & busser were above & beyond, exuding class that is long gone in this day & age. Must stop for gluten allergy folks.
Service was excellent, when we entered we were thankful for the A/C. As we waited for our seat we had nice small talk with the friendly & inviting bartender. After sitting there were 2 servers helping us both very informed about everything on the menu. One gentleman that said he is a full blooded Venetian told us many interesting pieces of information about the dishes & wine. They all had a very inviting nature to them. Woman's bathroom had complimentary toiletries.
Now for the food, we had a lovely bottle of wine. The Chianti 22 I believe. Was recommended to me after I said I like a dry wine with tannins but crisp & it was exactly that & more!
Creamed cod was very light, ravioli was flavorful & unique the almonds were a touch I wasn't sure of but the dish thrives with it.
For the linguine. We are typically not red sauce fans because they can we sweet but the hot oil it comes with balances it out nicely.
The only reason the food Isn't 5 stars is because of the servings & price ratio.
Great traditional & authentic Venetian cuisine breaded with excellent service & delicious dishes!!!
Friendly & charming service. Sommelier on staff who knows his stuff. Classic dishes as well as modern influences. The veal kidney was delicious. If only the portions were a bit bigger. I understand why Michelin recommends this place.
I went to Bistrot de Venise for a truly special, authentic Venetian meal. My group was seated right next to a window where we could watch the gondolas pass outside - it was so magical to watch! I started with a Bistrot de Venise spritz that was one of the best I had in Venice. We then ordered the historical tasting menu that had incredible dishes, & I highly recommend ordering this menu with its wine pairings. The sommelier, Nicola, was incredible & explained to us with great passion & detail each pairing. Every course was delicious & it was so fun to eat recipes that were traditional & authentic. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to add a culinary highlight on a trip to Venice!
The food sucks
The starter with the green beans was not fully cooked, which made me throw up right after I had it. The cuttlefish noodle is the worst which tasted like sea water-very salty & fishy. All the other dishes are nothing special but much more expensive than other restaurants. The dessert was too sweet.
I really recommend that anyone that used to Asian food never go to this restaurant. The taste is so weird!!!
My partner & I had a terrific evening at the romantic table. Everything was perfect from start to finish with an excellent selection of dishes & wine pairings.
Bistro Venice Fine Dining absolutely exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, everything was spot on - incredible food, outstanding service, & a real passion for Italian culture that came through in every detail. The team took the time to explain dishes & traditions, which made the whole experience feel even more special.
A huge thank you to Joe, who truly made the evening unforgettable - his knowledge, warmth, & attention to detail were exceptional.
This gem was recommended by the barman/sommelier at Hotel Doge Orseolo (Alberto Canaletto), & what a recommendation it turned out to be. The perfect way to end our holiday.
Yes, it's not the cheapest, but the quality & overall experience make it fantastic value for money. Honestly, I can't recommend it highly enough.
A very unique place: very tasty food with local & historic dishes, along with great wine pairing (+50 wines by the glass…), absolutely amazing service (waiters know everything… as if they needed a PhD to be able to serve clients) & warm & welcoming atmosphere…. The best address around (& it is a high bar)…..deserves a 6+….
The words that i have to say about this restaurant has no ending
Got suggested seafood starter & after that i got suggested a risotto
The dishes cooked by Stefano Novello with passion & with so much love made me appreciate the kitchen so much
Absolutely astonishing service & a well spoken English from the servers
