We visited **Bistrot de Venise** to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday, & everything was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly kind, professional, & made us feel truly welcome & comfortable.
We chose the degustation menu, & every single dish was outstanding-beautifully presented & full of flavor. You could really feel the attention to detail & the passion behind the food.
To top it all off, it was honestly the **best tiramisu I have ever had in my life**. An unforgettable experience from start to finish. Highly recommended for a special occasion or anyone who appreciates exceptional cuisine & service.

When the doors of Bistrot de Venise close, the place doesn't fall asleep. Warm lights stay on, chairs wait patiently, & the air keeps the memory of conversations, laughter, & quiet dinners. This is the moment when a restaurant becomes a stage without actors, & the city whispers instead of speaking.
We booked in advance a day early which was a delightful surprise to actually get a table.
Someone had booked under the same name but this was quickly rectified & we were placed in a comfortable table straight away.
I wanted to experience fine dining from Venice & I wasn't disappointed with selecting Bistrot de Venice. The staff were extremely attentive & each meal was explained to my wife & I with great detail. The restaurant decor was magnificent to study as we waited for each of our meals.
The wine that was matched by the staff complimented each dish extremely well. I felt warm & very relaxed eating here.
My clam pasta was my favourite meal of the evening. I tried to savour every bite. I don't think I can eat clam pasta anywhere else ever again knowing I've found perfection.
Each meal that left the kitchen & passed into the restaurant Brought such wonderful aromas.
I could write on for days how fantastic it was but you'll just have to try it for yourself. Highly recommend.

A Magical Venetian Lunch Experience at Bistrot de Venise
From the moment we stepped inside, we were captivated by the elegant & romantic décor - rich colors, soft lighting, & the unmistakable charm of classic Venetian style. The gentle background music set a warm, relaxing mood. We were seated by a window overlooking the canal, where gondolas glided quietly by - it couldn't have been more perfect.
The food was truly exceptional - perhaps the best we've had in all our travels across Europe. The lamb ragout pasta was outstanding: the tender, flavorful lamb paired beautifully with the handmade pasta's delicate bite - a perfect harmony of texture & taste. The slow-braised beef cheek with the restaurant's special sauce was unforgettable: meltingly soft meat, layered flavors, & a rich, balanced seasoning that lingered pleasantly on the palate.
What impressed us most, however, was the impeccable service. From the moment we arrived until we left, every member of the staff was courteous, attentive, & professional - warm without being intrusive. The explanations of each dish were detailed & engaging. A special thanks to David & Alvise for their genuine hospitality & thoughtful care - they made our lunch truly special.
Bistrot de Venise is not just a restaurant; it's a complete Venetian experience - refined, soulful, & unforgettable. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Venice.
Exceptional take on traditional local cuisine. Taken aback by the quality of the ingredients. Stumbled across Bistrot De Venice on the Michelin Guide, & it certainly belongs there - perhaps with a star. The Sommelier was wonderfully knowledgeable with two great suggestions; Extensive wine list also. Dining outside was a true immersive experience. A fantastic balance between haute cuisine & local dining.
We would like to thank the team at Bistrot de Venise for the unforgettable experience they gave us on August 12, 2025. The menu, the dishes, & the service were all perfect. We have been to many very good fine dining restaurants, but this was perhaps the best experience we have had so far. Each of the dishes in the romantic lunch menu was exceptionally delicious, beautifully presented & harmonious in flavor, but for me, it was perhaps the Raffioli de herbe...vantazati that made me say it was the best dish I had ever had in my life. When I asked my wife how she liked the romantic lunch, she replied,'I felt like a queen.' I think that says it all. Thank you again for everything:
Unfortunately, our experience at Bistrot de Venise was not what we had hoped for. The fault is entirely ours, we came across the restaurant on a blog we usually trust, & although we had some doubts, we decided to go ahead & give it a try.
It's undeniably difficult in Venice to explore something new without ending up in what feels like a classic tourist trap. While there was nothing wrong with the experience, it simply wasn't the kind of place or atmosphere we personally seek out when in Venice.
A small note for the record: tiramisù.. while a popular dessert, is not a historic dish & certainly not a Venetian one.

From our week of dining around Venice, we truly saved the best till last. We walked past Bistrot de Venice a number of times & commented how lovely it looked.
This was a true fine dining experience & the options in the 4 course tasting menu were just perfection. We were offered 3 options per course to choose from. To get the best out of it me & my partner ordered different courses (taste & to see on presentation).
The food was incredible! So much food! The photos below show the high quality food experience provided.
The service was the best we had received in Venice. The waiters were all so welcoming, offered guidance & took time to explain each course as it came out. Really great service from all the team & that didn't go unnoticed.
It was just perfect. We actually did the later dining so from 9:30pm we received 20% off our total bill. The tasting menu is around €110 per person for the 4 course menu. ❤?
Un véritable coup de coeur ! La cuisine du Bistrot de Venise est tout simplement délicieuse. J'ai goûté les linguines aux langoustines & les lasagnes : des plats aux goûts marqués, savoureux & parfaitement équilibrés. L'ambiance est chaleureuse & élégante, avec une touche typiquement vénitienne. Le personnel est aux petits soins, attentionné sans être intrusif. Une expérience inoubliable, je recommande vivement !
Chaque année, lors de notre séjour à Venise, nous retournons toujours avec grand plaisir au Bistrot de Venise. C'est sans aucun doute l'un de nos restaurants préférés ! Un véritable festival de saveurs, où chaque plat est une explosion de goûts qui ravit les papilles. La cuisine est raffinée, & on ressent la passion dans chaque bouchée.
Mais ce qui fait vraiment la différence, c'est l'accueil chaleureux & la gentillesse des serveurs. Toujours souriants & aux petits soins, ils rendent l'expérience encore plus agréable.
Nous avons dîné avec notre enfant en bas âge & tout s'est parfaitement bien passé. L'atmosphère est détendue & l'équipe fait preuve de beaucoup de patience & d'attention envers les plus petits.
Un dîner parfait à chaque fois, un vrai régal pour les sens. Nous recommandons vivement ce restaurant à tous ceux qui cherchent à passer un l moment d exception à Venise !
Excellent food & service! We wanted to dine at a high quality & as authentic as possible restaurant in Venice for the three of us, & Bistrot de Venice absolutely delivered. We all picked 2-3 courses & dessert & all of them were great. The'Lasagnetta with beef ragout' was exceptional, a must have! Service was also exceptional!

Malgré son étoile Michelin, bistrot de venise fut pour moi une expérience sans plus dans mon voyage en Italie. L'ambiance & le décor du restaurant sont magnifique, nous avions une table près d'une vitre qui donné sur le canal ou les pirogue passait, c'était en un sens beau à voir au début mais deviens vite lassant car les clients en bateau nous observe pendant le souper. Le menu offre une variété de plats vénitiens, mais la nourriture est ordinaire au goût à son arrivée, les assiettes ont cependant une belle présentation. Le point fort de la soirée est le service qui lui est impeccable au moindre de nos désir, ils ont même offert une fleur aux femme de ma table. Préparés vos porte-feuilles. Même ci ce dernier est classé Michelin, j'ai manger dans de meilleur restaurant dans la région qui eux ne sont même pas classés. La cerise sur le sunday, j'ai attrapé une INDIGESTION alimentaire après le souper pour mon retour en avion le lendemain.
After 30 days of traveling in Europe, including 7 Michelin evenings, we had one of our last meals at Bistrot de Venice. It placed in the top 5. The service was attentive. There was a nice variety on the menu to choose from. Our selections were creatively done & delicious. We will certainly return on our next trip to Venezia.
We came to Venice to celebrate our 2 yr anniversary & my 50th birthday. Without knowing where to go I asked ChatGPT for suggestions & Bistrot de Venise came first, for good reasons. Everything was superb. We had the romantic set menu with beautifully decorated table, plenty of attentions, convivial & professional hospitality & excellent food. & what about the wines? The sommelier made us travel through Italy accommodating each dish with the perfect wine. Mention special to our waiter, not only fast but doing his job in an elegant & discreet way, somehow in tune with the classic Italian music playing softly in the background. My special thanks also to Alessia who was my contact to prepare & customise our special events (I won't say more not to spoil the charm). In summary if you want a jaw dropping experience in Venice, look no further !
I went there with my wife in order to have our first Michelin restaurant experience & we were not disappointed. We ordered the tiramisu, the panacotta & bistrot cocktails. The cocktails were nicely presented & the quantities of alcohol were good measured, we both enjoyed it. The panacotta was incredible, the tastes are very ingenious & the lavender ice cream was simply amazing. Also, the tiramisu was very tasty, with nice textures, the tastes very balanced in order to give a beautiful experience. Also, the service was very attentive but keep in mind they charge you mandatory 10% surcharge. We would come back again
