Our first visit to Bernie's was a resounding success. Literally the best calamari I've ever had, delicious pizza & exquisite & inventive martinis. Our server was super friendly & attentive. We'll definitely be back again soon.
The pizzas were okay, though a little too burnt for my taste.
We sat outside on the terrace, which was much better than being inside where it felt cramped.
The martinis were refreshing & delicious.

Disappointed & disgusted with Bernie's Pizza Martini Bar July 5, 2025
Four us went here to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We chose 4 different pizzas so we could try a few different ones. To our shock, all the pizzas were burnt! Not just the outer crust but the bottoms of the pizzas as well. We called over our server, showed her the worst charred pizza & asked for a replacement. About 15 minutes later, the replacement arrived & it was burnt also. At this point we were fed up, asked for our bill & left, vowing to never return. Aside from the burnt pizzas (5 in all) the noise level is ridiculously loud & the tables are very tightly crammed in together. I gave 2 stars because they play great music & the decor is cute. Bernie's Pizza Martini Bar was fantastic! The pizza, calamari, & Caesar salad were all amazing - fresh, flavorful, & clearly made with care. The martinis were also perfect, expertly mixed & a great complement to the meal.
The only downside was that the appetizers & main meal came out nearly at the same time, which made the table crowded & the meal feel rushed. It would be much better if the courses were staggered to allow guests to properly enjoy each dish.
Overall, a great spot that I would definitely visit again!
The food was delicious. I went with two of my girlfriends. We split the calamari & got the all dressed pizza. The martinis were excellent as well. Would definitely come back again!
Went to Bernie's Pizza Martini bar for my birthday. The vibe is amazing, super cozy but still has that cool lively energy. The service was on point, everyone was friendly.
The food was unreal. The Caesar salad was creamy & rich, exactly how it should be. The pizza was insane, like every bite was better than the last. & the hot honey dipping sauce goes with literally everything.
It's been a long time I havent enjoyed a martini the way I did at Bernie's. The glasses are so CUTE. I had the passion fruit martini & it surpassed my expectations. Dessert was also great im still craving the chocolate cookie dessert…
If you're looking for a solid spot in the West Island you have to try Bernie's.
Make sure you make reservations in advance if you want a table. We booked 3 weeks in advance to get a table for 6 pm. It was worth the wait!
Service is great. From the hostesses, the waiters, & the bus boys. Everyone was so friendly.
My boyfriend & I shared the calamari for an appetizer, which was great; especially the spicy mayo dipping sauce. It has a very unique flavor. We also shared a half pepperoni & BBQ ranch chicken pizza. I did not try the pepperoni half, but my boyfriend said it was great. I personally loved the BBQ & ranch sauce. It was delicious. I also highly recommend the Blossom Rose martini.
My only complaint is because the restaurant is on the smaller side, the tables are placed close together, so you don't have a lot of room. The tables do fit the entire pizza on an elevated stand, but it still feels crammed. It also gets very loud when the restaurant is full, so it is hard to hear your date.
I would go back! This is definitely a nice place for a date night in the west island. I hope to see it expand to Montreal in the future, so it's closer to home.

Excellent service & attentions particulières aux demandes des clients. Ambiance pas trop bruyante, parfaite pour un 5 à 7 entre collègues. Choix de martinis signatures uniques & autres cocktails pour tous les goûts. Pizzas minces variées & très bonnes, quoique légèrement trop grillées sur le bord. Mais sinon, à y retourner bientôt assurément!
Finally tried Bernie's pizza. It was pretty good not knock my socks off good but pretty good. Pretty decent toppings to dough ratio & the flavours are pretty good as well. I think their pizzas are mostly the same size you'll get about a 12 inch & I think they're all thin crust, the martinis are good as well not exceptional. Bernie is the vibe though decoration is super pretty. The music is good as well. Playing old-school movies on the TV. It's a fun place, the service is really quick so if you do go & you have that two hour cap you won't have to worry about them being slow & the servers were really nice. Be aware that it's a very small restaurant so the tables are very close together, but if you don't mind that then you'll have a great time. All in all it's a cool new spot in the West Island.
Is there a better combination than delicious pizza, the perfect extra dirty martini, & oldies playing in the background? I don't think so! What a wonderful first experience at Bernies, & I know it won't be my last 😍
Super fun restaurant! My 3 friends & I split a Cesar salad, garlic bread & one pizza & that was more than enough food! Everything was delicious & the martinis were great.

Bernie's Pizza Martini Bar is a hidden gem! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm & inviting, with just the right balance of trendy & cozy. The pizza? Absolutely phenomenal - perfectly crispy crust, fresh toppings, & bursting with flavor. Pair that with their creative martini selection, & you're in for a treat! The staff is friendly, attentive, & clearly passionate about what they do. Bernie's hits all the right places. The owner welcomed us with open arms, will definitely be coming back!
Great atmosphere & ambience. Service was top notch & good was amazing! Definitely have the cheesy garlic rolls, the beef sliders & try the pizza!! It was all amazing! Had the mushroom pizza as well as the meat lovers! Make sure to add the spicy oil!! Overall a great place in the west island. Martinis were also top notch!
Really wanted to love this place but it was just OK. Place is incredibly loud & they jam pack the tables next to one another, where it feels like you're eating on top of each other almost. Service was good & quick. The martini was delicious & the pizza was good. Had the pepperoni & the veggie. Very thin crust, very crispy but it's quite dry, not enough sauce. Pepperoni was very good, veggie was OK. Prices are OK considering how big the pizza is. At the end of our dinner, the server apologized for bringing the bill when he brought our leftovers, said it was a habit, but then he brought the machine to pay 2 mins later, so was kind of annoyed about that. Add to that the text message the day of to say we had 90 mins since we were a party of 2 , just felt rushed the entire evening. Overall I think this is would be a great spot for a group of friends or a family, but forget it as a date night.
