Bernie's has great portion sizes & very good pizza, but it can be expensive. For example, we ordered two pizzas & two Caesar salads & the total came out to about $150 including tax & tip. The pizzas are large & filling, so sharing works well. The restaurant gets extremely busy, & walk ins are almost impossible, so it is best to plan ahead.

What an incredible Monday night discovery in the West Island. Bernie's Martini & Pizza delivered a fantastic experience from start to finish. We kicked things off with a round of great drinks - a crisp Peroni beer, a rich & velvety chocolate martini, a smooth Chardonnay, & a very dirty gin soda that hit all the right notes.

The appetizers set the tone: perfectly seasoned meatballs, tender calamari, & a fresh, classic Caesar salad. Simple dishes, done exceptionally well.

Then came the pizzas… & let's just say our eyes definitely didn't listen to our bellies. We were warned not to order two - but we did anyway. The portions were huge, the crusts were perfect, & every bite was worth the challenge. Worth noting: the pizza isn't Neapolitan style - it's its own generous, hearty style - but still absolutely delicious.

The ambience was surprisingly lively for a Monday night. Warm, welcoming, & exactly the kind of spot the West Island has been needing. It felt great to have this style of restaurant right here in DDO.

Highly recommend Bernie's for anyone looking for great food, great drinks, & a great night out. I'm already looking forward to the next visit!

Beautiful decor with a downtown feel. The food was excellent!!! The Caesar salad topped with chicken & meat balls were such a classic staple. The calamari was incredible, crispy, tasty & generous pieces. The tequila Martini is a meeting at try. Great staff, service & ambiance.

I have read a lot of the reviews & the consensus seems to be that people were satisfied with the food they ordered. Sadly, I must have been unlucky that night. Because the Margherita pizza was subpar, very little fior di latte on said pizza, crust extremely thin to the point of being very dry with burnt edges. I didn't see any Parmesan shavings on the Signature Caesar salad, maybe a few sprinkles of grated parm., no more. Furthermore, I think that the bacon was fake bacon bits & it was not a proper Caesar salad dressing on the salad, just plain mayo. I guess the chef had an off night that night. The Limoncello Spritz was good, the waitress & the service were pleasant & the food came quickly.

Met some friends for dinner. We were warmly greeted by the hostess & told our table was being cleaned. We were then led to our table with a smile. The place was full & is quite loud but expected for the average age group of the clientele. Our waitress Paige was excellent. Friendly & just engaging enough. Our friends got their appetizer 10 minutes before we got ours & they were kind enough to wait for ours to arrive. Not sure why they didn't come out together so a small hiccup. We ordered the ribs as a starter & they were excellent. Very tender & flavourful. The sauce reminded me of Tony Romas. Then for dinner we shared a Caesar salad & an all dressed pizza. I loved how the salad was prepared with chunks of lettuce. What I didn't like was almost no croutons & the dressing had a bit too much mayo & no anchovies which definitely affected the taste. Overall a decent salad. The pizza is quite large & was very good but found it too salty. I think that the pepperoni may have been the culprit. All in all an enjoyable meal & recommended.

Excellent customer service, delicious & tasty food. We were served by Mandy & she made sure we were well taken care of: answered all our questions & made sure that our experience went smoothly. As for the food, the batter in the crispy chicken in the sliders was well seasoned (not too salty unlike other places, yet packed a punch), chicken in was tender & juicy. Came with the right amount of pickle & sauce to add a bit of zing. The lemon in the Caesar salad really tied everything together. Hot pep came with a generous amount of pepperoni, honey, & hot pepper. Very pleased & very generous portions. Would come again!

Disappointed & disgusted with Bernie's Pizza Martini Bar July 5, 2025
Four us went here to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We chose 4 different pizzas so we could try a few different ones. To our shock, all the pizzas were burnt! Not just the outer crust but the bottoms of the pizzas as well. We called over our server, showed her the worst charred pizza & asked for a replacement. About 15 minutes later, the replacement arrived & it was burnt also. At this point we were fed up, asked for our bill & left, vowing to never return. Aside from the burnt pizzas (5 in all) the noise level is ridiculously loud & the tables are very tightly crammed in together. I gave 2 stars because they play great music & the decor is cute. West Island Gem! Sat at the bar with a friend & had an amazing time. The ambiance was warm & inviting, with a vibe that made it easy to relax & enjoy the evening. The cheesy bread was unreal. Best Caesar salad I've ever had. Will definitely be back 🙌🏼

Bernie's Pizza Martini Bar was fantastic! The pizza, calamari, & Caesar salad were all amazing - fresh, flavorful, & clearly made with care. The martinis were also perfect, expertly mixed & a great complement to the meal.
The only downside was that the appetizers & main meal came out nearly at the same time, which made the table crowded & the meal feel rushed. It would be much better if the courses were staggered to allow guests to properly enjoy each dish.
Overall, a great spot that I would definitely visit again!

Seating was a bit too crowded & too close for comfort for our liking; we were part of the conversation of the tables next to either side of us. We understand maximizing your space but you're practically sitting with the people at the next table. Pizza was good but a bit too oily, could be due to the generous amount of pepperoni on the all dressed we ordered. The size is large enough to share for 2 people. Fries were skinny & spot on. Caesar salad was extra generous with the dressing, the way I like a caesar. My glass of sangria was more juice than wine though. Service & owner extremely polite & efficient. Enjoyable first time, except for the table proximity.

Went to Bernie's Pizza Martini bar for my birthday. The vibe is amazing, super cozy but still has that cool lively energy. The service was on point, everyone was friendly.

The food was unreal. The Caesar salad was creamy & rich, exactly how it should be. The pizza was insane, like every bite was better than the last. & the hot honey dipping sauce goes with literally everything.

It's been a long time I havent enjoyed a martini the way I did at Bernie's. The glasses are so CUTE. I had the passion fruit martini & it surpassed my expectations. Dessert was also great im still craving the chocolate cookie dessert…

If you're looking for a solid spot in the West Island you have to try Bernie's.

We really enjoyed our experience here!! Atmosphere was very fun, delicious drinks & pizza. We got the Caesar salad, Bernies All Dressed & Hot Pep pizzas & the cookie for dessert. Everything was amazing! The portions are quite big so 2 pizzas & an appetizer was more than enough for 4 people. Overall, I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting try this place out.

I absolutely recommend it here. We enjoyed all of our food. The fried chicken sliders were 10/10, as was the cheesy garlic rolls. The caesar salad & pizza are great for sharing. The drinks are good as well. My only negative is that it feels like they are trying to rush you out of the restaurant as fast as possible. I was a server so I understand why, but it doesn't create the best experience. Our table was 20 minutes late & then we felt like we were on a time clock. Overall, will definitely be going back.

Came here for supper with 5 other people. We tried 4 different pizzas (fun guy, hot pep, all dressed, & veggie). They were all extremely delicious. The caesar salad was super good too. Service was excellent also! Only little comment that some people in the group made was that the music was a little too loud.

This is a great addition in the west island. We went for my husband's birthday with my 4yr old. The pizza is thin, crispy & juicy. Very tasty. Of note for kids, the pepperoni is a little "spicy" so we struggled to get a lot of pizza into him. The caesar salad is a large portion & is delicious. Drinks are on pricey end but very tasty. the staff were very accommodating- moved our table when a huge, loud party moved in next to us. Thank you! I give 4 stars because the music is just WAY too loud. I could hardly talk to my husband. with all the people there, & loud music, it was challenging. especially we reserved for 5pm. Maybe save the louder music for later with the older crowd? Loved it!

Great food, service & vibes! We were 8 people seated at a cozy round table. Everything we ate & drank we thoroughly enjoyed including: Caesar salad, Pizza Margherita, Pizza Cheese, Pizza Pepperoni, Fried chicken sliders, Beef sliders, House skinny fries, Cheesy garlic rolls, Ranch dip, Hot honey dip, Bernie's Blonde beer, gin cucumber cocktail, & a hot chocolate chip cookie in a skillet with vanilla ice cream! Fairly priced. Highly recommend & definitely will be coming back.
