Delicious! I had the avocado Eggs Benedict, & it was amazing! the sauce was very tasty, & I also loved the avocado muffin. The potatoes were delicious too, then for something sweet, I had the chocolate banana crepes, & it was so good.. The place gets a little crowded, & the food can take a while to arrive, but it is totally understandable & definitely worth the wait. I would come back.
I arrived here maybe around 8:45 AM on Saturday for the long weekend in August. This place was really nice & stood out to me on Google Maps because it had really good reviews. The food looked really nice & it definitely delivered.
I got seated within a minute of even getting into the place & the server was really nice. I came with a table of four people, & I ordered the salmon bagel with breakfast fruit, & breakfast potatoes. This is really nice because I don't usually get much options for persons who do not eat egg so the salmon was a plus. My friend got the seasonal items with apple & peach toast with bacon & eggs. One got a French toast with eggs as well & these definitely look really good.
I only took pictures of my food, but safe to say the other others also had a good experience as well.
One thing I want to add is that when I came in I requested a table for four & the servers were really accommodating while my friends came in maybe a good 30 to 45 minutes after me. I appreciated that because by the time my friends came, it was really busy & I would assume that getting a table would be very hard.
Overall experience, I would come again.
10/10 for Service, food & location!
A friend recommended this as her fave breakfast place, & now I know why. I headed to Ben & Florentine for a big breakfast since I had a walking tour after & went for their egg benedict plus a side of bacon. I've had eggs benedict before & I would say that these were the best ones I ever had. Plus free coffee refills & fruit on the side made it such a great meal! So what made me go back a 2nd time in my trip when my flight was cancelled was the service. Huge shoutout to Marie! She was very friendly, remembered me & my order & always took the time to check on me even though she had other waiting tables. We even talked about the airline that even Canadians avoided flying with. Great food & amazing friendly service! I'm a huge fan & would recommend this plac e to anyone!
Food is really good, potatoes are a bit dry tho, but overall really good! Our waitress was super friendly & really accommodating! I was afraid that the eggs were cooked on the same grill as the meat, but the waitress took the time to reassure me that the eggs are cooked on a different grill & that if I wanted egg benedictine that she could cook it on a different grill.
We ate here Saturday morning & the food was delicious. The churro bites were a fun & crispy addition. Eggs were cooked perfectly, & the seasoning on the home fries was really good (they taste exactly like OEB's wedges if you've been there). The apple sauce tastes like it was made in-house, it was warm & a little more tart than you would find in a grocery store which is right up my alley. The place was packed so it took a little bit for our food to arrive but it was hot & fresh. Would definitely return.
I would have rated them higher had they not refused to serve me only one poached egg, saying this option is not available on weekends. Blatant cash grab driving food waste. If you're a light eater go elsewhere on weekends.
Went for brunch & got some eggs Benedict with avocado. They were really good but one was a little overcooked. Other than that it was a really good brunch place! Really fast service too.
Very busy breakfast spot; offering discounted breakfast specials before 8:30am. The service was nice, pleasant & speedy. Ordered eggs with crispy bacons. The potatoes were not as crunchy as other branches. The dining environment is smoky. It's nice to have a B & F in downtown that opens early.
