The food is fresh, flavorful, & made with authentic ingredients that bring back the real taste of Lebanese street food. The meat is absolutely amazing, tender, juicy, perfectly seasoned, & cooked to perfection. From the shawarma to the garlic sauce & fresh bread, every bite feels genuine. The atmosphere, service, & attention to detail make the experience even better. If you're looking for real Lebanese flavors in Montreal, Beï is a must try!
My wife went to have dinner for the first time at this restaurant, I've been convincing that Lebanese food is the best & Lebanese people are very welcoming, but her first impression was a disappointment, the cashier wasn't paying attention to what she's ordering & missed ordering the fries with the order, & was playing with her phone during taking my wife's order, I know Lebanese people are amazing I love them & I love their culture, their food is my favourite also, but tonight's experience did t reflect that at all..honestly I'm very disappointed & wouldn't recommend anyone to this restaurant to get that kind of service.
Food was really good. The place was clean, & the ingredients looked fresh. It felt like an authentic Lebanese shawarma spot with the classic pickles, fries, chicken, & garlic sauce.
I ordered the pita sandwich for $11. It was a good size, & the chicken was ok but nothing special on the marination/ chicken spices.. The garlic sauce is a personal preference, but for me it was a bit too garlicky & overpowered the chicken flavour. Pita bread was fresh.
Overall, a good spot & worth trying. A smile from the people behind the counter would make a big difference by the way! 😉😁
The food was good but the employee who wears a cap was rude & condescending if you're not lebanese
The food was delicious & the portions were generous. The shawarma was especially delicious. Especially there bei shawarma.
The cashier Rim was very kind, welcoming & had a professional attitude.
Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for good Lebanese food downtown!
Right in the heart of downtown Montreal - prime spot for university & college students - & I have to say, I was genuinely pleasantly surprised.
First off, major credit for the marketing & design. Everything felt thoughtfully done. The colors, the wallpaper, the art, even the layout - it all works. You walk in, there's stairs to the right leading upstairs for more seating, a beautiful arza (Lebanese cedar) feature that immediately gives you that cultural nod, the shawarma spits front & center, & a super clean counter. The owner was working when I went, which I always appreciate.
I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first - there are so many shawarma spots in Montreal, & not all of them are truly shawarma. But everything looked fresh, & it delivered.
I ordered the chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, chicken sandwich, & the za'atar fries with sauce.
The za'atar fries were excellent - honestly a highlight. Great seasoning, great flavour.
Ranking-wise, I'd say:
1. Beef shawarma
2. Chicken shawarma
3. Chicken sandwich
The beef was my favourite - really solid. The chicken shawarma was pretty authentic (& I say this as someone Lebanese), though for my personal taste it had a bit too much toum (garlic sauce), & I would've liked a bit more tang to balance it. I did get it extra crispy, which I'd recommend. Loved that they include fries inside the sandwich - that classic touch.
Location-wise, downtown isn't my favourite because it's always jam-packed, but that's part of the vibe.
Overall, I really enjoyed it & will definitely be back. Great execution, thoughtful branding, & genuinely good shawarma. Well done.
If you're looking for one of the best - if not *the* best - Lebanese restaurants in Montreal, Bei is a must-try.
I tried the beef shawarma saj & the chicken shawarma saj, & both were absolutely outstanding. The saj was perfectly crispy on the outside while staying soft & warm inside. The portions were generous, filled with juicy, flavorful beef & chicken.
The toum was divine - creamy, garlicky, & the perfect complement. You can truly taste the freshness in every bite.
The ambiance makes it even more special. Lebanese songs playing in the background truly give you a taste of Beirut right here in Montreal. It feels warm, vibrant, & authentic - like a little escape to Lebanon.
An amazing experience overall. Highly recommend for anyone craving high-quality Lebanese food & a true Lebanese vibe!
As a Lebanese, I strongly recommend, food & service was amazing, great music was playing & the staff is adorable.
I have never been so eager to leave such a good review, yet here I am! Walking into Bei feels like a quick trip back to Beirut. The authenticity of the food is unmatched & leaves you mesmerized by the quality & perfect balance of true Lebanese flavours. Besides, they offer a discount for students which makes studying more enjoyable thanks to the diversity of their menu. Staff members are kind as well, I highly recommend!
