breakfast(55) bagel(37) beauts(34) pancakes(28) classic(24) brunch(21) egg(16) coffee(14) fresh(13) institution(13) potatoes(12) bacon(12)The atmosphere felt classic & cozy, service was warm, fast, welcoming. Everything tasted fresh & comforting in the best way. Definitely one of those spots that lives up to the hype. You can tell why people keep coming back for years. Can't wait to go again !!
It's been more than 40 years since we were here & were soooo happy to see it still is!!!! & the service & FABULOUS FOOD are the main reasons this iconic Montreal eatery has sustained all of us who appreciate truly substantial sustenance.
Huge MEAT LOVERS OMLETTE & Saint Viateur bagels stuffed with delicious lox took us back to the 1980's.....
Coffee is locally sourced (processed??) & terrific!!!
Thanks to all at BEAUTY'S for being there.......
Overrated & trop cher. J'ai détesté mon expérience, boycotte.
Food was very mid. Only go here if you don't know how to cook & can't make a better breakfast than simple eggs, potatoes, a protein & toast/bagel.
Everything on my dish was missing flavour. The eggs had no browning on the bottom, no salt or other spices on my potatoes. It's very rare for me to add hot sauce to things so I can enjoy my food more.
I would have been happier if it was more affordable to justify the mediocrity of the plate but my dish was close to $20 & it went over that with tax & tip.
I only tried it cause it's a Montreal institution so I excepted the food to be better than what I got.
I hesitated writing a review about their service, but after reading that some customers were ALSO asked by the waiters to reconsider their tip, I felt compelled to add my own experience. I paid for my friend's orders & my own. Personally, it feels a little ridiculous to have paid over 60$ for what you see in the picture. The food was great! But the service wasn't impressive - simply average, yet the waitress had the audacity to ask for more in a condescending tone. We left another 7$ in cash to appease her, but I honestly should have kept it. Asking customers for more tips is classless. I'd consider going to another brunch place.
My boyfriend coming here for 50 years. I'm coming here for 5 years. However today was last time. Usually there is a line up, today lucky day no one in line. Two tables open by the window they repeatedly refusing to give to us. Did I mention no one in line. & we promised to turn over the table quickly. On a quiet Easter Monday. I hope it was worth it to lose a client over two empty table.
