Only go if you really crave extra spicy Indian food. serious test on your spice tolerance (Even by Indian standards.) good luck in the toilet the next day. Most Biriyanis & starters are the same you wont find a lot of difference in taste. & the only feeling you will get is the spice. If the food is extra salty, its mixing with the sweat from your forehead.
The food was not upto the mark. We ordered the paneer biryani but did not find any paneer. It was just plain rice without any Spices. We had to leave halfway. But, the servers were good. Hats off to their quick service.

Amazing Briyani place. I like it so much. Every time I come to eat, I got amazed by how they use different spices & the perfect gravy they make within the Briyani. I have tried to make it by myself but never as good as the ones at this place. The flavor is so rich & the texture is just perfect. I love it. 🥰
I don't miss home or the spicy food from my homeland anymore because this place serves the best Indian food in town!

'Authentic Indian flavors in the heart of Montreal! The food was fresh, well-prepared, & full of spices that reminded me of home. Great portion sizes, friendly service, & a nice atmosphere. Came here for date night! We had a great experience. The food came out very fast, & the waitress took her time explaining the options which was appreciated. The lamb korma was delicious as was the naan. We loved the mango lassi. Will definitely go back again. Would recommend for non spice eaters to go with the mild dishes & not medium as the jump is quite large. Overall had a very good experience.

We traveled from Vancouver & were looking for a good place to eat when we found Bawarchi. Their regular menu has great options, but we quickly realized that their real specialty is biryani!
We first ordered some naan with spinach, which was fresh & flavorful. But after noticing that almost every table had biryani, we decided to get some packed to go-& we're so glad we did! The biryani was absolutely delicious, perfectly spiced, & had that authentic taste that makes you want to come back for more.
Not only is the food amazing, but it's also very pocket-friendly, making it a must-visit for anyone craving quality Indian cuisine. Highly recommend Bawarchi, especially their famous biryani!
Located near my university, this place became our go-to whenever we craved a decent biryani & some beer. Their Karvepakki Chicken Biryani is my favorite-flavorful & satisfying every time. The Chicken 65 is a perfect balance of spice, not too intense but still hits the spot. My Arabic & Canadian friends are big fans too! Proudly Indian, this spot offers authentic flavors that appeal to everyone, & it never disappoints. Definitely a place I always recommend!
Visited this place 2 times in a week . Weekend specials are dum biryani .we got the mutton dum biryani , as it was the least spicy options , there are a variety of options as per your spice level . For starters we ordered fish chilli , which was almost Mumbai style . On a week day visit we had a baby corn starter , mutton ghee roast biryani .. ordered the lime soda , the first time i got without masala , the 2nd time with masala . So I would advise to specify , if you are not looking for a surprise .
I am South Indian from Chicago. This is, hands down, the best Indian restaurant in the USA that I've tried! Flavors are perfect. Spice is perfect. INCREDIBLE! I wish our Indian restaurants in Chicago & Devon competed with this!
Bawarchi serves incredible Indian cuisine! I tried the Chicken Chili & Special Chicken Biryani-both were bursting with authentic flavors. The Chicken Chili was perfectly spiced, while the Biryani had tender chicken & aromatic rice. Generous portions & excellent service make it a must-visit for Indian food lovers.
We went to this restaurant after reading some good reviews,& also were craving for biryani. We ordered chilli fish, ghee roast kaju Chicken biryani,ghee roast kaju fish biryani . Everything tasted average, with out of balance flavors & spices crying out loud. Service was quick,but the major let down was a neighboring table with three very loud guests .
Tried two of their goat biryanis & they were both excellent! The first time we tried the Mutton Ghee Roast Biryani, amazing but spicy even though the spice level is rated as one ️ but this can be subjective, a Mango lassi & some yogurt fixes that though! We recently tried the Goat Dum Biryani also rated as one ️ & this was a little less spicy but it still needed some help from the Yogurt to help cool! Super delicious as well! We also tried the Batti Murgh Tikka & this was mouthwatering! For those health conscious folks, go for this it's an excellent source of protein & seems to have very low amounts of fat yet delicious! I look forward to trying their other Biryanis! The portions were excellent. Food is fresh! I like how they layer the meat portion with the rice & equalize them so that with every bite you have enough masala & meat, smart approach ;)
