Group of 13 for a birthday, i believe Victoria was our waitress & what a fantastic job she did! Was impressed with the multi-tasking when it was time to split all the bills
Went on a Tuesday evening, the restaurant was pretty empty. The service was top notch. I ordered a soup, which was great, & a flank steak. It came with really bland vegetables, but was pretty good. I wished it was a little bit bigger. The caesar salad was pretty good. We had a little birthday cake that was free of charge, which was really appreciated!

Attentive staff, flavourful food & oh the chocolate mousse was the perfect dessert not too heavy just right --- chocolatey goodness. My filet mignon was spot on, the loaded baked patato yummy!! *edit they no longer make chocolate mousse which is shame because as I mentioned it was the perfect dessert very light yet rich tasting* *edit #2 Every year my mum & I celebrate my birthday at Baton Rouge, it's become a tradition over the years & this year was no different. Why do we always choose this restaurant? The answer is simple excellent service, scrumptious food - the spinach artichoke dip & chips is outta this world, filet mignon cooked to perfection, ribs done just right, garlic mashed potatoes so creamy with just the right amount of garlic, loaded patato - yes please. & the brownie with ice cream- delish. *pics were taken after we started eating, & I gave my mum the veggies from my plate too* *edit #3 celebrated my bday today like years before service was great. My filet mignon wasn't cooked to my liking I asked for medium rare but got well done, they happily replaced it. Our food was fantastic, we shared a ceasar salad & garlic bread if you haven't tried the garlic bread I recommend you do - delicious. Our main meals were also very tasty. I should note I do take out as well from here & am always very satisfied with the quality of food & service.
Arrived for birthday celebration, party of 12, service was as slow, some guests were not even asked if they wanted a drink. Waited a long time for meals. We had a cake & guests were asked to hurry up because reservation had 2 hour limit, no one was asked if they wanted coffee.

Dinner w work colleagues at a location close to our hotel. Good service & a lot of tables that can facilitate large groups. Many tables were celebrating birthdays. I was delighted by the steak salad that was huge, flavorful steak & delicious flavors & textures. My colleague had the steak which was well cooked & came with 2 sides.
Just had my birthday dinner tonight. I started with the Calamari which was excellent, then had the chicken Tenders & ribs combo. My chicken Tenders were very good, but my ribs were excellent. I was a little disappointed with my sides of baked beans & parmesan truffle fries. Our service was excellent. Very courteous & quick, especially considering how busy the restaurant was. I wish I could remember our waiters name. He was excellent.
Went to this location for a birthday dinner. Within 20 minutes of our appetiser arriving we had dealt with a rude waiter who was unhappy with our plate stacking & made a comment that we shouldn't help because we dropped a slice of lemon on the floor. Food quality was ok but in my honest opinion it was way over priced for what we had. Dinner for 4 adults & a child, 1 shared appetiser, no wine, no coffee, no dessert, came up to over 325$. They did surprise the birthday boy with a free brownie & candle which was nice & not requested.
New review: as much as i had a horrible experience during the pandemic (gave one star) I have decided to add a new one. There is no doubt that Bagon Rouge has the best ribs. Service if good too. Because i started a tradition of going there for my birthday with my kids, I will be returning. OLD REVIEW indicated a plethora of things that went wrong with the order process, quality of food & wait time. I have removed the gory details but I was extremely disappointed & the experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

It was my husbands Birthday dinner, & he ordered the filet mignon it was just okay, he expected the same quality as the keg & found it fell short. He wouldn't order it again. But we did have a nice evening.
Our server was amazing. We celebrated a birthday (with birthday hats etc) ... & she took the initiative of bringing the birthday girl a complimentary dessert with sparkler!
I had a wonderful birthday here wasn't to busy the staff was friendly & very clean. I had the ribs & chicken absolutely loved it. Would certainly recommend if your In the area looking for an upscale steak house.
We had a lovely time dining at your restaurant for my husband's birthday. Our server was a delight. Food absolutely delicious. Thank you for a wonderful experience. The Trier Family in DDO.

We came here as a group for a birthday recently & the service left much to be desired. The drinks arrived 30-60 minutes after ordering, the food took another hour or so to come & arrived cold/luke warm. However we didn’t mention anything to the waiter because we were never checked on & at that point we were just starving & didn’t want to wait another hour for the food. We were also told appetizers could not come before the main meal because it’s too overwhelming for the kitchen.. so it had to be served with the main dish at the same time.. then why offer appetizers?
We also brought a cake & we were given only a plate but no forks for the cake & had to flag 3 different servers before anyone brought them.
I’ve been to Baton Rouge before in a smaller group & had an excellent experience with the service & food. However as a bigger group I don’t think I would return. It’s just disappointing when you spend that much money & an expectation to have a good night for someone’s birthday & it just goes sideways.
We went for supper for my birthday the waiter was so nice he brought me a piece of cake after the meal with a sparkler in it. Nobody told him it was my birthday, he said he knew we were celebrating something! The food was delicious & we would go back again.
Family Birthday celebration was the best. All staff were pleasant, patient & helpful. Laura, our waitress, was special with personal attention & extra involvement. The food was excellent as always.
