Ouvert tous les soirs de la semaine, notre établissement émerveille les promeneurs du Vieux-Port et leur procure un second chez-soi. L'esprit du Barroco ne réside pas dans un simple élément, c'est plutôt une harmonie de plusieurs ingrédients, créant une atmosphère de bien-être pour le souper. Nous sommes fiers d'avoir personnellement sélectionné chacun des détails de notre restaurant, du décor à la mise en place.
Barroco, dans le Vieux-Montreal, est décrit comme un endroit chaleureux et intime où l'ambiance, le service attentif et la cuisine et les boissons de haute qualité laissent une impression durable. La carte mêle des plats français raffinés comme le bœuf braisé et le magret de canard, avec des cocktails mémorables et des desserts invitants, et beaucoup louent le cadre intérieur et le bar accueillant. Bien que les expériences soient majoritairement excellentes, certains avis signalent des portions modestes pour le prix, des plats parfois trop cuits et des options végétariennes limitées, et l'endroit peut sembler prisé ou coûteux. Dans l'ensemble, Barroco est perçu comme une perle mémorable qui donne envie de revenir.
The atmosphere & food was amazing. Unfortunately our server was very rude & clearly had zero interest in doing his job. He was annoyed the entire time of taking an order & tried to give zero communication during our entire time there. It is unfortunate because this was a business meeting & I was hoping to show off Montreal culture at a local restaurant. I am not sure if I would return due to the attitude of the serving staff.

I guess I went in with big expectations from what I saw on the website! Appetizers : we had the ham which was basically prosciutto with 2 pieces of grilled bread & 4 tiny pieces of picked vegetables. Anchovies on bread pretty good Devilled eggs at $5 per half an egg nothing Oysters very fresh & good Main courses braised beef was very dry & liked warm at best Rib steak was good mashed potato cold Overall it was ok but nothing special We still had a nice evening
Excellent cuisine & extremely dedicated Staff provided one of the best dining experiences we had in Old Montreal. Highly recommended. Will definitely visit again. Mark & Karlyn.
We've been twice in the last month & have nothing but good things to say about Barroco. Great service, great food & drink quality, great ambiance. We would happily refer any of our friends to Barroco. Thank you for a great evening!
Delicious, great ambiance, excellent server... only the dessert was a slight disappointment (thinking the apple dish was vegan & gf which I am not opposed to, but was not as good as rest of meal)

Lovely place to eat & service. We didn't love the presentation & pairing of celery root with short ribs, but short ribs amazing! Also we got the dessert & not sure of the name, but looked Iike kids spaghetti & we didn't love it. Service was excellent. Thank you!
Would absolutely go back. Service attentive, knowledgable but not pushy. Interesting, thoughtful cocktails. Ordered multiple starters & shared an entree with my partner - opportunity to explore more on the menu. Impressive wine selection for all budgets, leaning to those with plenty of disposable income. Tiny spot but cosy - French, European, neighborhood restaurant feel putting out high quality dishes.
Beautiful restaurant & server was very nice. Food was fantastic except the smoked hen was a little dry. Short ribs were perfection though, & housemade seafood sauce was the best we've ever had
Amazing night we had in Barroco! The place is really cozy & well decorated. The food was incredible. We order the octopus, the brioche & the steak with truffle butter... everything tasted really good. Plus, the attention & cordiality from our waiter Luca was incredible. It was my wife's birthday & highly recommend this place for a special occasion.
The food was beautiful, the staff was beautiful & the place is beautiful. The drinks are very nicely made, & the food is perfectly balanced. The brioche was delicate & the cheese & butter that it came with were a wonderful paring. The salad with anchovies & bacon was delicious. The hen had a wonderful creamy sauce & soft mushrooms. The pasta with ricotta was truly delight. We had a dessert that we ate so quickly I forgot to take a picture but it had a very nice apple confit on top. Lastly the staff was not only gorgeous but they were funny, knowledgeable & attentive. I'd love to come back & get through the entire menu.
Cuisine & service impeccable. Nous avons eu un réel coup de coeur pour l'établissement. La décoration nous fait rentrer dans un univers & dans une ambiance hors du temps. La qualité du service à été impeccable. Un grand merci au chef & barman également pour ce menu dégustation & ses cocktails. Nous reviendrons c'est sure & nous recommendons également les yeux fermés le Barroco.
