Barocco in Montreal is a total gem. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels elevated yet welcoming, with beautiful design & an energy that makes the whole experience feel special. The food is exceptional. Every dish is thoughtfully prepared, full of flavor, & clearly made with high quality ingredients. You can tell real care goes into both presentation & taste.
The service is top tier. Attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, & genuinely warm. The staff makes you feel taken care of from start to finish, which elevates the entire evening.
Whether you are there for a date night, a celebration, or just an indulgent night out, Barocco delivers on every level. It is the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit. Highly recommend.
What a divine little restaurant. Had a lovely time having dinner at Barroco, the bar man was fantastic & so attentive. I had the leeks & scallops for entree, omgoodness - delicious! A must have. The flavours in this was something else. & the beef for main cooked to perfection again the flavours in the jus & puree was delicious. Highly recommend this place. Very nice selection of wines & cocktails aswell.
We randomly saw this gem while wandering the streets & instantly fell in love with the vibe from the outside! We ended up having one of the best meals we've had in Montreal, & that's saying a lot, given how much good food this city has! Everything was incredible, & the staff was so kind & welcoming. It is a unique & high quality place in the middle of Old Town.

Tout y est charmant. Design boisé comme dans un chalet avec assiettes vintages en porcelaines accrochées au mur. Lumière tamisée, musique entraînante. & petit bar au fond du restaurant de moins de 10 places. C'est un mélange assez éclectique qui vous attend au Barroco.
La cuisine y est délicieuse avec des produits de qualité & de choix, avec des protéines toutes locales. Elle se réclame gastronomique & du sud de la France. On y retrouve de la ratatouille ou encore de la Chartreuse.
Le grand plus : les sauces! ! Elles sont à tomber. Travailler comme jamais comme le veux la cuisine traditionnelle française.
Je recommande à 1000% de goûter au Suprême de volaille au foie gras & jus de chanterelles. Un pur délice....🫠🤤

Always an incredible experience at Barroco! The food is unmatched, atmosphere incredible, service is top notch. Has been our go-to spot for our anniversary every year. Highly recommend!
We had the pleasure of dining at this charming restaurant, the ambiance is cozy yet elegant feel that makes you want to linger a little longer.
The staff were incredibly friendly & attentive from the moment we walked in. They made us feel genuinely welcome & went above & beyond to ensure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.
The food was absolutely delicious - beautifully presented, full of flavor, & clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Every dish we tried was a standout.
Overall, this was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for excellent service, great food, & a lovely setting. I'll definitely be coming back!
We love coming to Barocco when we visit Montreal. The staff are so lovely & welcoming & the food is incredible. We sat at the bar & Marc the bartender there made our experience above & beyond. He was personable & gave us amazing recommendations on what to eat & drink. Highly recommend this gem in Montreal!!

All round the experience was great, across the three categories. The restaurant ambience was perfect for sharing a meal & having great conversation! The waiter who took care of us was extremely knowledgeable on the menu options & had fantastic recommendations!
If given the opportunity I would definitely go back, & I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good night out in Montreal.
What an amazing little spot. We sat at the bar & Mark took excellent care of us. From cocktails, to appetizers & wine to entres. T'was an exceptional experience with amazing food & service. Would highly recommend.
Très bonne adresse gastronomique dans le Vieux Port de Montréal, petite salle tamisée, cosy, aux allures de Jazz bar, avec d'excellents cocktails.
Bien que les portions soient parfois justes, on rajoute des madeleines en dessert & on est rassasiés. Mélanges des goûts intéressants, des classiques légèrement revisités avec saveur.
Un service moins bon pour notre 3ème fois.
Je recommande vivement ! (Surtout le Menu spécial en début de semaine).

A very lovely dining experience! Made a reservation for my husband & I on a Thursday evening. The restaurant is very warm, cozy, & charming with stone walls, beamed ceilings, & filled with lovely antiques. We were seated at a cozy, corner table by the window. Our waiter was professional & personable. He was very present throughout our meal. We ordered two of their specialty cocktails, which were fantastic, & two apps (tartare & foie gras) & two entrees (duck & halibut), which were all divine. I HIGHLY recommend a wonderful time here!

The tasting menu & service were both absolute perfection, highly recommend for a romanic date night or celebration dinner. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday dinner & can't wait to go back to Montreal just to eat here again!
If you are looking for a unique, fine dining experience this is the place! Whether your celebrating your birthday or just visiting Montreal for the first time like we were, Barraco is such a treat. As it is a smaller, intimate setting reservations are a must but when we showed up without one the host went out of his way to try to squeeze us in. Due to demand, we ended up making a reservation for the very next day & it was worth it! The fantastic staff, particularly the bartender Mark, went above & beyond to make this dining experience worth every moment. I couldn't recommend this place more!
