The only downside of this place is that we visited it on our first night in town & we don't know how any where else will even come close. The atmosphere was just what we wanted for a cold wintery night. We sat at the bar & the service was the best I've had in a while. Not only was the bartender, Joaquin, attentive but he really knew his drinks & food. Food was unexpectedly delicious as well. I got the special & it did not disappoint. Wish we had a place like this back home.

Edit: We came back 5 years later in the summer & just as good as we remember!

Love this place the service is amazing the food speaks for itself, the chef & the staff are truly professionals, I proposed to my girlfriend there & the atmosphere couldn't have been better. I really recommend it, & I can't wait to return there & try everything in the menu.

Had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant whilst on a short stop in Montreal. This is a MUST visit place. Decor is beautiful, vibe really cool, service absolutely first class & food was to match. Thoroughly lovely evening. It's only a small restaurant so you need to book ahead.

Honestly was expecting some montreal bro F1 scene-y vibe with the same garbage that passes for French brasserie in the city nowadays after so long on the scene but wow was i wrong

Delicious & innovative menu, sweet service. Im still dreaming about that mushroom dish

Tho I gotta say it's more than a little annoying that all of the cheaper wines weren't available the night we went & we had to get a higher end bottle for no reason (we were too lit to really enjoy finer wine at that point)

We arrived 25-30 mins late, due to difficulty finding parking, & we're greeted by a very cold, borderline rude fellow. Who announced that our reservation had been automatically cancelled. & proceeded make a'little' fuss in'finding us another table'!! Meanwhile looking at the dining room we see 5 double + 3 quad tables empty!! It was a MAJOR turn-off & a bad way to start our first time visit & dinning experience. Especially since some of those empty tables never got filled.

Unfortunately old Montreal caters mostly to tourists without vehicles.

In a nut shell, staff was snobbish (waitress took a while to warm up, but she did!) food was good to very good. Cocktails were very good but WAY too small.

Unfortunately won't be going back, because of poor reception with relation to the overall cost of dinner! Plenty of other good Montreal restaurants that treat you like proper guests to explore & enjoy in this city!

It was an excellent experience. I proposed to my now fiancée here & they made the experience very nice. The ambiance is really nice & not over the top. The place was well but dimly lit, allowing for a very romantic & intimate experience. We ordered steaks & had scallops & brioche as apps which were also incredible. I told the restaurant before about the proposal & they made sure to give us above & beyond service. Would go again :)
