We were really looking forward to this meal but we're very disappointed in the service. It was painfully slow. We waited 30 minutes just to get bread. The entire meal had uncomfortably long pauses between each course. It turned a romantic evening into an annoying one.

We had an absolutely delightful time at Barocco last night. I had the short ribs which were outstanding. My husband had their paella. The desserts were unique & delicious. Our waiter was lovely...terrific recommendations & exceptionally friendly! I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Old Montreal!
Wonderful dinner at Barroco. Both the service & food are excellent. The short rib is cooked perfectly one of the two very best I have tasted. The paella dish is also excellent!
Great food, the personnel very attentive & with a nice attitude. However, the restaurant was full & it surpassed their capacities. Otherwise, a very nice experience.
So, honestly, I really wanted to like this restaurant — it is tucked in a small street with lovely decor. The service was good, but it was very loud — as in have to lean forward to hear the person across the table. The food was good, but overpriced &, frankly, a little over salted. Wish I were able to give a more positive review....

We love this place & regret that we only went for a drink at the bar but ended up ordering a little bit of food which blew us away. We had a brioche with olive oil butter & a pasta dish with morels. Very simple but absolutely delicious & perfectly executed. It was our last night in Montreal so wish we could have stayed one more night so we could have a full meal. Hopefully we'll make our way back there again! The bartender made great cocktails & provided awesome service at the bar. The ambience is cozy & inviting. This place has everything we love about drinking/dining out!
We drove from Boston to Barroco for our first trip post pandemic to celebrate everything we missed--birthdays & anniversary. It was just as great as we remember. The oysters, octopus, eggplant, pasta, wines & dessert made such a special meal & the service from Sam & others spoiled us. So glad Barocco is still doing what they do best---everything!
Best meal we had in Montreal. Best Burrata I've ever eaten. The beef wellington was out of this world. The smaller oysters were delicious & very special!
