the paella delicious the ribeye steak was excellent & the starter oysters also superb & the housemade brioche second to none...
We didn’t have a reservation so we got a table outside which was rather cozy & cute . As appetizers we ordered the Burrata & the octopus which were ok . We felt that the raspberry vinaigrette didn’t really work with the burrata & the octopus was a bit overcooked. However as a main course we ordered the beef short ribs & a glass of red wine both were delicious & worked very well together . For dessert we got the millefeuille which was also pretty good . Service was good & friendly .

Très bon restaurant. Que ce soit dans l'assiette comme dans le service en salle, tout était réussi. Dommage que le chef Jérémie Falissard n'ait pas été présent ce soir là, l'expérience aurait été d'autant plus inoubliable 😉
One of our fave restaurants for years when we visit Montreal. Although the food was still excellent we found the service quite impersonal. Staff seemed more interested in socializing with each other & some customers in a certain age group over others. Slightly disappointing as a result.
Barroco was a recommendation from a friend. We didn't know if it would live up to the hype, but it exceeded our expectations. The food was exceptional, the service was thoughtful & not rushed & the ambiance was charming.
We've been to Barroco several times & the ambiance is always fantastic. This visit however we found our food was below our expectations from past visits. I had the paella, which I have had & enjoyed in the past. This time however the portion was considerably smaller & some of the ingredients were disappointing (for example, the calamari was not fresh but rather seemed to be the freeze dried type that you often see in some Asian restaurants). I left somewhat disappointed.
Le service est terriblement lent!!..Mon steak tartare n'était pas plus grand que la paume de ma main & aussi épais que mon téléphone cellulaire!!..Ce n'est pas le genre de restaurant ou aller si vous avez faim!!!..Car Coté prix, vous allez vous faire dézinguer!! $$$$..Pour vraiment pas grand chose dans l'assiette! J'ai du me refaire à bouffer en rentrant chez moi!-((
Small & intimate restaurant with great service. Overall food was good. We ordered medium rare ribeye & it came out medium well, a bit on the dry side but it was quite tasty so we just ate it. Spaghetti was delicious.
Nous avons été servis par Charlotte. Malheureusement, sa compagnie n'a pas été très agréable: peu aimable voire hautaine, peu communicative & plutôt peu informée de la carte des alcools. Son comportement semblait être le même auprès des tables alentour. Cela a grandement nuit à notre expérience & nous ne sommes pas certains de revenir au Barroco pour cette raison. Bien dommage!
We had a wonderful meal at Barroco. The service was stellar (thanks Esme), the food was delicious (we loved the short ribs & the homemade spaghetti with pesto russo), & the atmosphere & decor was very charming. We'll be back some day for sure!
Le service étais excellent, de plus la serveuse me l'a personnalisé a mes goûts.La nourriture étais excellente.Par contre le fait que cela sois très bruyant & assez petit nous a déplu. Merci
