An incredible experience with drinks & dinner at the bar, made even more incredible by Marc. He made our delicious dinner an unforgettable experience that wouldn't have been the same without him.

Amazing place for date night in Old Montreal. We make sure to reserve every year when we visit from Toronto. Fantastic cocktails, great vibe, great food & superior service. The owner & bartender always make sure to give you a great experience. Highly recommend.

Delightful place with great food & exceptional staff. Wonderful place for a date. You'd be challenged to find a better beef short rib or duck breast anywhere.
My Barroco dining experience was one of the major contributing factors to a dream weekend in Old Montreal. This for the two of us is the perfect restaurant - five stars for intimate seating, incredibly attentive staff, timing, ambiance & food. I had the rib eye. - I am fussy about my steak, this beauty combined the buttery texture of rare with crunchy fat interspersed. My friend described her duck as moist & succulent. Silken mashed potato & whipped yam accompanied. The mousse dessert was beyond sinful. Thank you for this evening!

Me & my wife ordered two paellas, unfortunately it was very acidic. Before ordering we were told that you had run out of calamaris hence extra chorizos were added, I only found 5 pieces of chorizos. The waiter was kind enough to take back my order & have it replaced with something else, I ordered the pesto rosso mafaldelle & it had the same issue the tomatoes used were very acidic. My wife continued with her paella due to the fact that she had craved seafood all day & there were not other suitable choices available.
What disappointed me the most was the fact that despite the prompt action of the waiter, there was not much of an apology or understanding, from my experience in dining (fine or not ) when there is not a positive experience with an item, this a courtesy gesture of a discount is provided & to my surprise this did not happen.
I understand the business concept of paying for what the customer orders however I also expect a quality of food items for the price I am paying for & when this is not delivered to a satisfactory level, for customer retainance & overall dining satisfaction something more should have been done.
