Review Summary

Bar Cicchetti is described as a small, welcoming spot with Venice vibes in Montreal, offering bite sized cicchetti, vegetarian options, tasty food and drinks, including cocktails and mocktails, and a warm, stylish interior and a nice terrace with both indoor and outdoor seating. The antipasti are a highlight, especially marinated olives and mushrooms, while polenta fries are praised by some and missed by others. The staff are repeatedly described as friendly and attentive, the ambiance is lively and cozy, and Bar Cicchetti is widely regarded as one of the best bars in Montreal, a popular spot for dates or friends. Some experiences note a slower or uneven pace with service, a very noisy night with a large group that made talking difficult, and one accessibility concern with a hostile server, reminding that atmosphere and flavor come with caveats.

Love this place. Where else can you get Cicchetti in Canada? Only here.

Venice in Montreal.

Great food & cotails. Cool vibe. Nice decor. Friendly staff.

Wanna go back... Missed out on the fried polenta.

We went here tonight & were really excited, but our food took almost an hour & was not great, definitely worth the $3.50 per dish. We were pretty shocked that we weren't offered a discount/some kind of accommodation after the hour long wait for our food, considering we didn't order that much or anything very big. That being said, the polenta fries were very good & the terrace is very nice!

I've been here a few times in the last 3-4 months. It's nice to have this type of options around this part of Montreal. I love the terrace, it is unpretentious & it has a nice vibe but keep in mind that it can get really crowded & tables are too squeezed together. The area inside is quite nice & quieter. Unfortunately, last time I sat inside there were too many mosquitos or fruit flies. Drinks are overall good, there are very limited options to get wine by the glass though. Food is OK-ish. I haven't tried all of them but so far the only ones I'd consider reordering are the polenta fries & the arancini. I hated the meatballs. Service is good overall. I've never been rushed to leave even when it's crowded. Parking in the area is really difficult to find.

Vastly over-priced. Just another trend trap for the trend drones. Special touch those concrete patio tables (note the sarcasm).

Would never go to one of these places on my own, that's for sure.

On a positive note, the polenta fries were incredible.
