I was at the restaurant last night with my girlfriend. The food was all wonderful. It was my second time coming to the restaurant. I first visited in 2022 & it was the first restaurant I went to in Montreal, it is every bit as good now as it was then.
Unfortunately, I only finished about half of my portion of the pig foot, which was wonderful. The communication between the servers broke down & sadly I did not get to take home my leftovers. Regardless, the manager or server went above & beyond with the service level to provide me a gift card to return for the value of that menu item.
I thought that was exceedingly kind. All things considered, it was a wonderful meal & I look forward to returning.
Truly one of my favorite restaurants in the world. Service & food are outstanding, the restaurant is charming. I will come to Montreal just to eat here!
Excellent service par le grand serveur cheveux court avec une barbe ahahaha désolé j'me souvient plus de ton nom mais good job!!!
Our server was very professional & kind, explained the menu to us & answered our questions. Everything was great, except for a few things - my cocktail was very watery & didn't highlight the flavours that were listed (rhubarb) & I couldn't even really taste the gin.
Loved the sea urchin pasta, duck fries, & our mains were delicious (duck in a can, aged pork chop)
We had to take most of our food home because everything was VERY rich & borderline over salted, we couldn't possibly eat another bite during our meal.
Hats off to whomever does the reservation booking. We had to change often & she was delightfully helpful.
Our server was also delightful!
Bravo!
I look forward to this dinner travelling from NYC every year for dinner with my daughter. Our order was lost & delayed & we satbthete waiting more that 1h20 after being seated to get our main dish. We were offered excuses & apologies but ultimately it was a big dissapointment given how great our past experience has been
Table de 4 à 700$
My top restaurant to recommend in Montreal! A great experience to remember. FOOD: everything was exceptional • Poutine Foie Gras: the fries was awesome, the gravy was so yummy, lots of foie gras. Everything goes so well together. • Duck in a Can: their famous dish, the plating doesn't look that nice but it's so tasty. Very tender, I love the harmony of flavor & scent of herbs, gravy & foie gras. • Pork Chop: The pork was a little bit dry to me but still taste good. Love the tiny little mushrooms. Gravy was so flavorful. • Chocolate Choux: the ice cream cleaned all the fatty taste in my mouth, very refreshing yet rich & creamy. They store hot chocolate ganache in a insulated bottle is just so cute. DRINKS: • Special cocktail of the day: the cocktail sounds very complicated, all I remember is some liquor infused in foie gras or something. It was amazing, I really love the flavor • Dessert cocktail: it looks cool when they lit it on fire, smell great but I think it's too strong to be a dessert cocktail. SERVICE: great service, they explained all the dish, check on us once in a while. VIBE: smaller place than I thought, super busy. I got a table by the open kitchen so the smell is gorgeous.View more
Vraiment bon, mais costaud! Il faut se préparer l'appétitView more
Visiting Montreal, & hearing all the hype I decided to go. I definitely got my fill of foie gras for the year. 2/3 plates had 100grams of foie gras. The poutine was delicious, I really liked it. The tofu noodle dish was my least favorite, not sure how the flavors mixed together...left me feeling unsatisfied. The braised pork was good but seemed to be missing a little flavor. Overall it was good, would like to go back & try the duck in a can.View more
