Suave, esoteric, & classy. Me & my review partner both had 2 cocktails each & oysters. We were impressed by the cocktails & my partner very much enjoyed the Mad Whale. Kind & cool staff, awesome place overall, just not necessarily our vibe. (22/27) always love a hidden entrance.

Really enjoyed the vibe here. Our mixologist Jess was awesome. So friendly & talented. Bob at the front door was super nice. Great selection of cocktails. Will return!

If Gatsby had a Canadian cousin who knew how to mix a proper drink, this would be his basement.
Tucked away like a secret you're not supposed to tell your in-laws, this prohibition style speakeasy absolutely nails the vibe.
Dim lights ? Check. Cool crowd ? Check.
Music that makes you nod like you understand jazz on a spiritual level ? Double check.
We worked our way through the Purple Rain, the Federal Reserve, & the Honey & Peach, basically a tour of flavor from rock concert to Wall Street to summer picnic. Each cocktail was beautifully balanced, dangerously smooth, & strong enough to make us briefly consider investing in something.
Now… about the ice.
Let's just say the cubes were less
'elegant chill' & more'Arctic expedition.'
By the time we found our way around the glacier in the glass, half the drink had relocated to the North Pole. We came for cocktails, not to reenact Titanic.
That said, the atmosphere & music were so good we almost forgave the icebergs. Almost.
Final verdict: fantastic night, stellar drinks, great vibes, just bring a tiny pickaxe… 😜
I went to Atwater Cocktail Club last night & honestly… never again. The moment I walked in, there was a strong, unpleasant smell at the bar - almost like aged cheese. Not exactly the vibe.
I always order a martini to test a bartender's skills, & this was hands down the worst martini I've ever had. Weak, no balance, no flavor, just… big. The other drinks weren't any better - nothing unique, nothing craft about them.
To make things worse, the host/bouncer kept passing gas right near the entrance. I wish I was joking. It was genuinely nauseating & made the whole experience even more uncomfortable.
For a place that's supposed to be a speakeasy with great cocktails, this was a huge disappointment. Definitely not worth the hype.
Elevated cocktail bar with a smooth speakeasy vibe. Everything we had was well balanced & exceptional. Sebastian & team were wonderful hosts. They definitely earned their Top 50 marks!
Montreals speakeasy game is top Notch & Atwater's Cocktail club ranks high on this scale! The vibes are vibing & the cocktails were so carefully crafted, tasted incredible & were presented beautifully! My friend & I had an incredible time!
Such a great spot! The staff were friendly & welcoming-offering us a welcome drink while we waited to be seated, which really elevated the experience. The vibe was amazing, with great music at just the right volume so you could still have a conversation. The drinks were top-tier, especially La Récolte, recommended by our waiter-honestly one of the best cocktails I've ever had. Can't wait to come back!

Located in Little Burgundy, this hidden cocktail spot offers a casual yet stylish vibe. The space features mirrored walls, some street-style art, & a well-stocked backbar that fits the energetic mood. Mixed crowd. Plenty of seating: couches, tables, bar stools. Music is good but leans loud-conversation is possible, but not easy during peak hours.
Drinks: 9/10
Recommendation: La Récolte
Menu is sleek & functional, organized by flavor profile with ingredients, ABV, & glass type clearly noted-great for navigating. Glassware is solid quality, garnishes are thoughtful, & overall presentation is on point. No coasters. Drinks are impressively balanced.
Special mention: Smoke Show - a fruity cocktail with an Instagram-worthy presentation & solid flavor to back it up.
Service: 8.5/10
Water served on arrival. Team is friendly & attentive. Prices are average for Montreal, but the bar felt lightly understaffed for its size-orders can take a while.
I'm from Seattle & I have spent the last month in Montreal. I'm so grateful that I found this place so early in my stay. In fact I'm enjoyed it so much & the staff was so friendly, I decided to come here for my American thanks giving since I had to spend it away from my friends. It is my last weekend in town, & I definitely had to come back to experience the vibes one last time.
I sampled many things from the food menu, & for me the cucumber salad & crepe Suzette were my favorites! The cocktails are always beautifully presented, & I sampled one or two from the menu. They were good, but I usually order classic cocktails off menu. This place delivers on those those in a special way, with an extensive bar & deep knowledge of mixology. The ice of high quality, the mint is fresh, & tiny details are well attended to, making it a lovely experience.
Loved it! First of all, can we talk about the doorman-he's awesome. We were greeted with fantastic drinks right off the bat. The service here is top-notch, the music & vibes are on point, & the drinks keep coming. & the fries? Absolutely incredible. A total win all around!
Cool atmosphere & great drinks, considering the craftsmanship of the drinks they were relatively reasonable in price. Had to wait in a line to get in but it wasn't horribly long. My one concern is you have to be constantly ordering drinks even before you are finished the one in your hand or you will have the bill dropped in front of you. Kind of gave off almost strip clue vibes where you have to have at least one drink in front of you at all times. I understand the bar is popular & there is a line & they want to turn over customers, but they should be a little more laxed so the customers don't feel as much pressure to constantly be ordering
Came for cocktails, service & atmosphere were on point! Had two cocktails, the mango drink didn't taste like mango at all, didn't care for it but my friend liked it so we swapped. Don't recall the other I had but I'd definitely return, it was a vibe for sure!
