Sat at the bar for a long time & no one greeted me. Had to get a menu from people who sat next to me. I knew the bartenders were busy so I waited patiently. Eventually I had to waive at a bartender & told him what I wanted. However 15 min later two men sat next to me & even they got their drinks. Turned out I was completely forgotten.
I went there after having a very underwhelming experience at the Cloakroom, & unlike that place where I felt weird being a solo woman, everyone at Atwater made me feel comfortable, the music was amazing, the bartenders are really talented & sweet & it's just an overall amazing vibe, I'd be a regular if I lived in Montreal 💕
At first I was skeptical about how the place will turnout because you have to line up in this dingy looking alleyway but once you get in you understand why. It's a very cool concept, the bouncer was soooo chill!! The bar itself is really nice very intimate & super tiny but it works, music is great & if you love cocktails then this place is for you
Atwater Cocktail Club exceeded every expectation & easily became one of my favorite cocktail bars in Montreal. From the moment I stepped inside, I loved the atmosphere. The space is intimate, cozy, & stylish without feeling pretentious, making it the perfect place to settle in & enjoy a great drink.
The cocktails were outstanding. Every drink was creative & innovative, with unique flavor combinations that felt carefully considered & beautifully balanced. It's obvious that a lot of thought & skill goes into every cocktail, & the presentation matched the quality of the drinks themselves. Whether you prefer something spirit-forward, refreshing, or adventurous, there's something on the menu that will impress.
The staff were another highlight of the experience. They were incredibly knowledgeable about both the menu & their extensive selection of spirits, taking the time to explain ingredients & recommend drinks based on our preferences. Their passion for cocktails really enhanced the entire evening.
The spirit selection is truly exceptional, offering an impressive range of bottles for both seasoned enthusiasts & curious newcomers. Combined with the warm service & inviting atmosphere, it creates a bar experience that's difficult to match.

The doorman deserves an award. He greeted us with politeness, gave us drinks to try at the door & made sure we had a table. The bartender was also very welcoming & polite. The cocktails are Devine
This bar is always buzzing! Expect serious cocktails, an upbeat evening vibe, a great crowd, friendly service, & an all-around fun atmosphere. The drinks can occasionally be hit or miss, but if something isn't quite right, just let the staff know-they're happy to take your feedback & remake it until you're satisfied.
