Arriba Burrito in Montreal offers a lively Mexican dining scene with crowd pleasing dishes like birria and al pastor tacos, generous portions, and brunch highlights such as churros pancakes and crème brûlée pancakes, all set in a festive atmosphere with music that many guests describe as vibey and welcoming. The food is praised for bold flavors and fresh ingredients, though a few items can feel pricey for the portion and the overall value varies. Service ranges from fast and friendly to slow and uneven, with seating sometimes tight and the space being noisy when crowded. Still, the staff and kitchen are repeatedly highlighted for hospitality and quality, making reservations advisable on busy nights. Overall Arriba Burrito is seen as a must try for authentic Mexican vibes and satisfying flavors, offering a memorable experience that keeps people coming back.
The restaurant itself is cool. Authentic Mexican with dark interior, loud music. It was crowded & seating was Very tight squeeze. The birria taco was the star of this meal, the flambe pancake was fun & very'social media' forward, but wasn't very tasty. The staff were nice but when it came to settling the bill, they took entirely too long. Overall, it's a fun, trendy spot thats great for younger crowd & we're glad we got to experience it.
Not the cheapest Mexican place around but for a reason : the quality is pretty good & you get tortillas chips with guac with your plate. Honestly I quite enjoyed my meal & the mexican culture atmosphere. Maybe the music was a little loud for my liking & the service not the most attentive, but it wasn't bad either. I'll be back.

SOMEONE BRING THE WHOLE INSPECTOR TEAMS OVER HERE!!
My girls & I went on a girls' night. We ordered: nachos, birria (extra note: it was really oily), chicken & ribeye steak taco. The food was ok like honestly, it wasn't filling at all - no special taste. It is overrated. No offense, the tiktok people that wrote good reviews have never tasted real good Mexican food. The atmosphere was fine, but the bathroom was bad. Like I'm not talking about a normal bathroom. I felt like I've entered a whole new dimension: it was tiny like my 5'6 friend basically couldn't fit it that, the toilet was in front of the mirror & there was no place to move nor to even use the sink. The light was so dark, you wouldn't even be able to wipe your ass properly. It felt like they spent their whole budget on more tables *in this tiny space rather than focusing on necessities. Also while we were talking, my friend had things dripping on her thighs. I'm beyond dissatisfied about the service. They barely interacted with us & the tips option was only 18%-25%. We weren't a group of like 6 or more - we were only 4 people. Also, tips are after tax.
Friendly reminder: No cash.
One of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever been too! From the second you walk in, you feel the positive energy it has! Great music , amazing food & the staff is just so friendly! Thank you Karan for taking such great care of us! What an incredible experience!
Food was good. It s an open kitchen concept, you can see them cooking. Lots of flavors & taste better than other Mexican place. Authentic!
Service was mediocre. I had to ask for spicy salsa, then lime because they didn't come with on the plate. By the time they brought what I request, my food was already cold (but the taste of the food were still good).
It was busy when we got there & when we left, there was still a line up at the entrance.
Uno de los mejores restaurantes Mexicanos que he encontrado en Montreál, realmente me encantó la comida y bebidas, con un ambiente súper agradable, me encantó 🫶🏻

Very busy restaurant, well located, welcoming staff, mostly spanish speaking, the chefs are mexicans, as close as it can get to typical flavors in Mexico, overall recommended spot, fair prices for quality & amount of food.
I visited this Mexican restaurant today & honestly, it was pretty disappointing. The service was slow - they clearly need more servers to keep up. The food, which looked incredible on TikTok, turned out to be really underwhelming & overpriced. Definitely another influencer trap.
The meat was dry, the guacamole tasted like something straight out of a grocery store container, & overall the dishes just weren't very flavorful. For the price, I expected way more. The one redeeming quality was the drinks those were actually really good.
Wouldn't go back for the food, but maybe worth a stop if you're just grabbing cocktails.
Mexican here.
Best chilaquiles we've tried in Québec. Definately a great place to have an authentic Mexican breakfast.
Also the place is pretty cool & cozy.
Service is ok, not bad but not great either.

Really enjoyed this place! Food was really good, but I do feel like it's slightly overhyped. I had the chicken tacos, my boyfriend had the chicken quesadilla, & we split the nachos. While everything was super yummy, I wouldn't say it's the best Mexican food I've ever tried. Slightly too expensive imo, but still worth a try, would probably go back.
I stopped by Arriba Burrito in Montreal for brunch & was pleasantly surprised - especially since it's more known for its Mexican fare. I decided to try something on the sweeter side & ordered the Nutella pancake, & wow… it did not disappoint!
The pancake was soft, warm, & generously layered with creamy Nutella. It had that perfect mix of indulgent & comforting - a great choice if you're craving something sweet for brunch. The portion was just right, & it came out fresh & beautifully presented.
The atmosphere was casual & relaxed, perfect for a laid-back weekend brunch. Service was friendly, & even though I went in for something different than their usual burrito options, I felt totally welcomed.
✅ Cozy brunch spot
✅ Friendly staff
✅ Delicious Nutella pancake - perfect for sweet tooth cravings
✅ Fast service & clean setting
A nice hidden gem if you're looking for a chill spot with sweet brunch options. I'll be back to try their savory menu next time!
A nice place in the middle of Quartier Latin with music playing in the background. The walls are filled with intricate cultural designs with a lot of history. The food is super delicious whether Nachos, Fajitas, Tacos or Enchiladas 😍 My friends really like this place & the staff is super kind & social who want to make you feel as comfortable as possible. One of the best Mexican restaurants in Montreal😊 UPDATE: Been there many times & as always love the authentic food & atmosphere ! Definitely a 11/10 restaurant ❤?
