Arriba Burrito specializes in the preparation of substantial, hand-held Latin American offerings that prioritize bold spices and fresh ingredients. The menu features generously filled flour tortillas packed with slow-cooked proteins, zesty salsas, and seasoned grains tailored for a casual, fast-paced culinary environment. As a dual-purpose establishment, the space integrates a functional bar area that serves a variety of spirited beverages designed to complement the savory, heat-driven profile of the food. Every order emphasizes speed and flavor consistency, ensuring that each component from the guacamole to the beans remains distinct. Guests encounter a straightforward, utilitarian atmosphere where the focus remains entirely on the production of satisfying, hearty wraps and refreshing cocktails. This efficient model provides a direct experience for those seeking flavorful, reliable sustenance in a high-energy urban setting.
Arriba Burrito offers an authentic Mexican culinary experience that many diners find both delicious and generous, with standout items like birria tacos, nachos, and crème brûlée pancakes frequently praised for their quality and presentation. While the vibrant atmosphere, thoughtful decor, and friendly staff contribute to a memorable visit, experiences with service consistency and seating comfort vary significantly. Some patrons appreciate the attentive care and welcoming vibe, often highlighting specific servers who enhance the experience, while others note challenges such as long wait times, occasional errors in order delivery, and cramped seating arrangements. Although the price point is reflective of the portion sizes and quality for many, others find it somewhat high, and views on the necessity of reservations or the intensity of the music differ, making it a popular yet polarising destination in Montreal.
Went to this cute brunch place with some good friends & Violeta our server was so sweet! The amount of plants decorating the place & the music also give the restaurant a humble atmosphere. Food & drinks were also wonderful
Horrible experience. We ordered food & drinks, but after waiting 30 minutes, we were told they didn't even have the food we had ordered. We ended up waiting 45 minutes without getting a meal & still had to pay for the drinks. It was a complete waste of both our time & money. Very disappointing.
We came on Sunday around 7:45 p.m. & were seated on the terrace, even though we had asked to sit inside to watch the game that started at 9:00 p.m. The manager explained there was no space available inside, which was completely understandable given how busy it was.
Unfortunately, our server, Viktoria, seemed completely unfamiliar with the menu. We had to repeat our order multiple times & many of our questions went unanswered as communication was extremely difficult since she didn't speak English or French.
I work in the restaurant industry myself, so I understand what it's like to be new. Everyone has to start somewhere. But if you're still learning, the least you can do is be pleasant, attentive, & willing to help. Instead, she had an attitude with us throughout the entire meal. I suppose the frustration of not knowing your job…
Our appetizer arrived before our drinks. Later, only one of our two main courses came out. I asked for the spicy sauce on the side & it wasn't. After waiting about 30 minutes for the second dish, we were suddenly brought the bill-even though we were still waiting on food. We then found out the second plate was forgotten. During the entire service, our server never once came back to check on us or apologized for the delay.
The manager personally came over, apologized sincerely, & told us we wouldn't have to pay for the food because of everything that had happened. However, while we were still eating, Viktoria brought us the bill for the drinks, which is quite unpleasant when you are still eating. Five minutes later, she returned with another bill for the food, directly contradicting what the manager had told us. When we explained that the manager had already waived the meal, she argued with us instead of clarifying the situation or apologizing for her terrible service.
As a manager myself, I believe there should be certain standards when hiring front-of-house staff. If someone doesn't yet know the menu or isn't comfortable communicating in either English or French, they should at least provide friendly & attentive service. Unfortunately, we received neither.
Despite everything, we still left a $5 tip because I know how difficult restaurant work can be. In return, we got a dirty look, no smile, no thank you, nothing.
The only bright spot of the evening was Alejandro, the busser. He was attentive, & genuinely cared about our bad experience. Brought out the extras we asked for & checked on our second plate for us. He was basically picking up after her mistakes & ended up doing far more for our table than our actual server did. He deserves recognition & would make an excellent server.
Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time.

I was very excited to try this place from seeing it on social media videos. Drinks & nachos were good but the birria tacos & burrito was relatively bland compared to others ive had & i travel all over canada for work so ive had alot. I ordered rice & didnt get it & the place was infested with fruit flies. Very dissappointing & not worth going to. I paid $225 for a family of 4 to have each an order of tacos & split a nachos with each a drink. Eating out is hardly worth it anymore & this place helped me realize that. Zoom in on my wall picture & u will see yhe flies.
If you're looking for a halal-friendly brunch spot… this one is SUCH a good find 🤭🌮✨
The pancakes??? Absolutely insaneeee. Soft, fluffy, flavorful - easily the highlight for me 😭🫶🏼
The whole vibe & food were really good, especially knowing the menu is halal-friendly 🙌🏼
Only thing I'd say: the drinks were a little too sweet for my taste, but still cute & refreshing!
Definitely worth trying if you love Mexican brunch spots in Montreal 🌞
