Review Summary

Annette Bar à Vin is repeatedly praised for its excellent service, warm ambiance, and an outstanding wine list that sommeliers pair thoughtfully with the dishes. The menu is described as creative and delicious, with favorites including beef tartare, fried maitake mushrooms, oysters, and delicate agnolottis, and desserts like panna cotta receiving high marks. The experience is often viewed as refined and lively, with a stylish decor and a pleasant terrace that enhances the visit, and some reviewers note strong counter or private dining moments and engaging wine tastings or brunch options. Some criticisms appear about portions being small for the price, occasional delays in service or drinks, and occasional noise or crowded spaces, though many feel the value is justified by the quality and hospitality. Overall, it is considered a must visit for wine lovers and foodies who appreciate attentive service and inventive cuisine, with many plans to return for dinners, tastings, or brunches, while a minority caution that the experience can vary by night.

Annette Bar delivers an excellent dining experience with truly delicious, creative dishes made from fresh ingredients. The service is impeccable-attentive, professional, & friendly. While it can be a bit noisy & food sometimes takes a little while to arrive, it was worth the wait. Conveniently located with plenty of nearby parking, Annette Bar is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates great food & genuine hospitality.

Fantastic service, they let us bring the dog to the patio & it was a lovely meal outside. We had the set course & the staff were lovely to chat with & we had a great meal. The food was delicious, with fresh, in season ingredients. They also had great wine suggestions to pair!

Service was really great. Staff was super helpful & proposing wines, pairings & all. The spot is nice & makes for a cozy & fun experience. Food was honestly a hit & miss. The quality of the ingredients were second to none but the overall offering & the way the menu is structured lets a lot to be desired... Since ( I think ) the menu is build around seasonnal & local ingredients (which is great), many ingredients are repeated in many dishes. So if you don't like some ingredients, you might have to skip 4 or 5 items on the menu. Might not be a problem for some but might be problematic for others. Also, the menu descriptions are so basic that you might not get exactly what you were looking for. For example, they have a fresh pea dip with feta. It was tasty & fresh & everything, but the dish was covered in fresh mint. So every bite tasted like mint. If you don't like mint, you just wasted 16$ on a dish you won't enjoy. Same goes for another dish, the tempura zucchini flowers that are stuffed with some cheese. It's covered in caviar or something similar. The caviar is definitely there to justify the price, yet not mentioned on the menu. Also, some dishes, who are tapas style & meant to be shared, aren't really sharable. Like those zucchini flowers. They come as 3. 3 shares well with 3 person & that's it! The menu should be more descriptive & includes more details. Just naming 3 ingredients might look really fancy & edgy, but it is not very fonctionnal for guests with dietary restrictions or people who don't like certain ingredients or who are closely watching what they eat. I'll go back as the wine selection is great & allows to taste wines who are not readily available elsewhere (SAQ) but I'll definitely need to triple check the menu & ask a ton of questions next time.
