Si la plupart des visites sont perçues comme une trouvaille de quartier, quelques retours signalent un service parfois moins attentif lors des périodes d'affluence et des portions parfois jugées chères. Dans l'ensemble, Tail Fox invite au partage et à l'exploration, ce qui en fait une option idéale pour un rendez-vous ou une soirée entre amis, avec de nombreux convives qui prévoient déjà de revenir pour découvrir les prochaines créations.
Came here for NYE which was a set menu. HUGE portions for a multi course menu, amazing food. Special shoutout to these oysters!!! I will be coming back just for the oysters. The staff were amazing & super attentive. The drinks were also unbelievable. The sesame espresso martini was so good.
Food was good, definitely meant for sharing, not individual & we were a group of strangers (timeleft). It was expensive, especially to try a variety of plates. Service was excellent & there was a nice selection of drinks.
I was craving raw fish with soju, but they were out 😭(I guess I will have to come 🔙), so I tried the pork belly, chicken heart, salmon tartare, matcha ice cream, ginger ice cream, & cheesecake instead. The chicken heart was my favorite-I've loved it since childhood! Some dishes were so close to perfection but just needed a bit more balance to truly shine. Say, I would've really enjoyed a fresh or pickled element to cut through the richness of the heavier pork & mussels.
The vibe is amazinggg, felt like I escaped for a moment. It's a peaceful, relaxing spot to eat & drink. The presentation was stunning 😍, & I love the smaller portions, making it easy to try multiple dishes.😋 Excited to see the summer menu~ The ginger ice cream tasted just like Swedish pepparkakor really so so good!

We had an absolutely lovely dinner for 5. The place is small so make a reservation! The food - Every dish was thoughtful, tasty & well presented. Our favourites were the duck confit, the cheese corn, the crudo & the shrimp Bao. The favours were rich & balanced. The mix drinks were also very well paired & delicious. The pecan pie was also a favorite at the end. Our server was informative, pleasant & attentive. It's rare I leave a restaurant feeling as though it was worthwhile but this one certainly was! So good we didn't take pictures. Just ate EVERYTHING.
Food was good. Nothing out of this world. Unfortunately there was only one waitress who had to do it all (bartending, hostessing & serving). I totally understand that they were understaffed & it wasn't anyone's fault but the person who didn't show up but we had to wait quite a while before getting served or even being asked what we wanted to drink. We were hoping that the food would make up for the lack of service. Let me say, it was good but not good enough to make me want to go back.

Having visited Seoul & Tokyo on a few occasions over the last few years, I enjoyed this small neighborhood restaurant that takes its inspiration from Korea & Japan. A special note for the EXCEPTIONAL service. The waiter contacted us after we left to mention an error on our bill. How many times does this happen? The food is very good, the pricing is fair, the staff is friendly & kind, but I feel there are a few details that still can be improved to make this an exceptional dining experience. First, the music is too loud. It is almost impossible to hear & understand the waiters & have a conversation with someone at the table. Second, the menu is very good, but I feel some plates could be bolder. Our plate of lamb chops with mashed potatoes was well executed & perfectly cooked, but could have been prepared in any of the many French bistros in Montreal. I thought that this dish needed to have a stronger Korean-infused flavour (sauce?) to warrant a special place on the menu. Lastly, I feel that more care & professionalism should be directed at the drink menu. Our kind, attentive, serviable, but mostly overwhelmed waiter (there were a few minor hiccups in the kitchen that slowed the pace of the dinner - not a problem at our table), she had difficulty explaining to us some of the items on the drinks menu, their origin (local producer?) & their flavour profile to go with the menu. At a day & age where menus are ever more eclectic & complex, & the flavour profile of natural wines is often impossible to predict, I think that it is the important for the staff to have deeper understanding of what is offered to complement the menu. That being said, we will go back, perhaps on a more quiet evening or earlier on a busy to appreciate the food & the great service.
I'm not one to leave negative reviews, but we're still talking about how sub-par our experience was, one week later. It felt like the real cooks were on holidays, & as if we landed on rookies... last Friday (early December). We were quite disapointed by the lack of flavor, in what was supposed to have some. & the burnt taste of cauliflower in what should have been one of our favorite dish. This should not have been served as it was, & I'm sure that it's great when done right...but not this time. The sauces were bland & the drinks were basic. Service was...below standard. Sucks, since we live very close & were hoping to find our new favorite place. Not sure we'll ever go back. Probably not.
The waitress made a mistake with the bill & wasn't checking up on us if we needed anything else. We would have ordered double the amount of drinks if she did.
Cute new place in Saint Henri. While the waiter made a mistake in our order we were offered a drink on the house. all the dishes were good & nice portion to share. The oysters were very good & well seasoned. The calamari with sweet potato soup & the dumplings were my favourites !

Waitress was more concerned in chatting up two clients then to take & order for more drinks
Usually the service is pretty good but I found this annoying
I've been 3 times now. My spouse, 5 times. The staff, the food, the drinks, the venue - everything is excellent. Went with a small group yesterday & they were kind enough to accommodate food allergies & give us a bit of extra time at the table before the 2nd seating.
I love this place & will go again...
