Unforgettable evening (10-OCT-2025). Live music, Annika Chambers & Paul Deslauriers were awesome. UPSTAIRS Jazz Montreal is a new favorite place for me and my wife. This is an update, yesterday (28-MAR-2026) was Joaquin Nunez & Habana Safari night. Awesome group, awesome music and performance, awesome place, as usual.

2 personnes, vendredi après-midi. Endroit tranquille Très bon service de la part de Conley et Nyssa. Petit arrêt pour une petite bière bien sûr. Mais vous pouvez également y manger repas et entrées variés. L'endroit à un décor rustique bien à lui. Osé essayer et découvrez !

Wonderful find! Friendly and welcoming staff. Food was delicious. We had the grilled octopus and the turbo fish. Both were very tasty and the grilled sardines were delicious. Great house wine too. We will be back! Obrigado!

Chef Stéphane Boudreau never disappoints! Every single item on the menu was tempting, I didn't know what to choose. Luckily, everyone at our table of 5 chose something different, so I was able to get a taste. I had the mushroom ravioli for appetizer, and the duck magret with caramelized onions and maple syrup, and beet purée. Both the appetizer and main were outstanding, so tasty and well presented, just perfect. For dessert I had the almond liqueur crème brûlée, excellent. I absolutely love this place. Catherine, the charming and highly efficient maître D, is so knowledgeable about the menu and so accommodating. All the staff clearly love their job and are proud of what they serve, they truly make your dining experience so pleasant. Outstanding food and service with a friendly unpretentious ambiance. Can't ask for more!

Pat was an excellent server. Very attentive. The food was excellent, we always opt for the mushrooms. I really enjoy the red wine sangria here as well, it is made with rum which I really enjoy.

Claudia tended our table and was a real sweetheart. Even though the restaurant was busy with large groups that had arrived before us, the wait to order and for bread, appetizers and our mains to arrive was very respectable. Attentive and friendly service. Ambiance was a bit loud because of the large group, but overall the atmosphere was really nice. Steaks were cooked just right and very tasty. Portions were generous. My son ordered the ribs (reasonably priced!), which he very much enjoyed, but wished had been served with more sauce. The restaurant had just run out of non-alcoholic beer, which was a bit of a disappointment. But overall, terrific meal.

If a huge salad is what you are craving, this is the place to indulge. Their salad selection is small, but some are with grilled chicken, some with chicken and egg and one with tuna. Don't be scared by the price. They can be a bit pricey, but they are enormous, and all are absolutely delicious. I have yet to finish one. Ok. Ok. The ribs are one of the best in the city. A dinner must have. I have been eating here for years and have yet to order a meal I did not completely enjoy. Kudos to the chefs.

They have Vegetarian and Plant Based (Vegan) options or can modify dishes on request. I have been going there for many years. Sometimes dining in, takeout and delivey. As far as the West Island, this place is great for quick no frills Chinese Food. Food is always good and hot and the price has always been very reasonable. The decore is dated and could use a little freshening up. Table service has always been just average, not great, nothing spectacular, never service with a smile, definitely could use a lot of improvement. This place is ideal for Takeout and Delivery.

Dîner avec un ami. La nourriture était délicieuse et le Général Tao est le meilleur que j'ai mangé depuis longtemps. Les sushis et les makis étaient super. Le service est rapide. Je vais y retourner.

J'ai été manger à ce restaurant pour le buffet du dîner, je vous recommande cette place, la nourriture était excellente et beaucoup de variétés dans les réchauds, il y avait même des sushis du côté des mets froid, et la propreté des lieux était impeccable. 👍🙂

Les plats au menu semblaient dispendieux mais ca se justifie par la générosité des portions. Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre expérience culinaire au Sol y Mar. Mon sauté au poulet était excellent. Recommandé!
