Montreal, January 15, 2026 - Under the honorary presidency of Michaëlle Jean, 27th Governor General of Canada and an iconic figure in leadership and the promotion of Black communities, the Fabienne Colas Foundation (FFC) is proud to announce the lineup for the 15th Fondu au Noir Festival, presented by TD Bank Group. The festival will take place both in person and online from February 4 to 8, 2026, within the highly symbolic context of the 30th anniversary of Black History Month.
To mark this milestone edition, Fondu au Noir is innovating with the launch of a flagship program: Expo AfroArts, a fresh, bold, and decidedly innovative initiative highlighting Afro-Quebecois and Afro-Canadian artisans. Presented over three days at Théâtre Colas, Expo AfroArts offers an immersive experience-creations, encounters, and discoveries-turning Théâtre Colas into a true hub of richness, dialogue, and celebration in the heart of Montreal's Saint-Henri (Sud-Ouest) neighborhood.
Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Black History Month, this 15th edition also highlights prominent figures with prolific careers in Quebec and Canadian political, cultural, and economic life, including honorary president Michaëlle Jean, the Right Honourable Senator Amina Gerba, Olympic champion, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Bruny Surin, soccer icon Patrice Bernier, former Canadian football player Ali Gerba, Kerlande Mibel, Founder and CEO of the International Black Economic Forum, and Fabienne Colas, entrepreneur, actress, director, and producer.
With a rich program including film screenings (in person and online), panels and debates, major interviews, music, dance, literature, artisan exhibitions, a pop-up market, and more, Fondu au Noir promises a grand edition designed to move, inspire, unite, and dazzle.
Over the years, the Fondu au Noir Festival has become a major cultural event in Quebec, continuing its role as an artistic and social hub by building bridges between communities, highlighting essential stories, and amplifying the talent of Black creators from here and beyond-now with Expo AfroArts as a new showcase of excellence and creativity for local artisans.
