Each visit offered a taste of Montreal's vibrant food scene, full of creativity, flavour, and seasonal cheer.

Our outings are a team effort: Chandni brings the experiences to life through engaging visuals on our social platforms, while Dalia focuses on hospitality and service, often stepping in front of the camera for our reels. Together, they capture not just the food, but the ambiance, the people, and the stories behind every place.

MTLàTable

Dalia recently visited Caribou Gourmand, a charming spot in Mile End, and it was the perfect way to kick off MTLàTable with a delicious brunch. The menu highlights local, seasonal ingredients, with generous portions and a perfectly balanced mix of sweet and savory dishes. But the real standout was the waffles. Fresh off a trip to Brussels, Dalia can confidently say Caribou's waffles were even better. Safe to say, brunch at Caribou Gourmand has earned a permanent spot in her rotation, and she's already looking forward to trying their evening menu.

The following day, Dalia returned to Mile End for the MTLàTable x Air Canada Signature Experience at Molenne, and it exceeded expectations. As one of the most exclusive events of MTLàTABLE 2025, the evening featured a five-course menu that beautifully reflected the brasserie's elegant style. Highlights included a delicate seafood platter, Gaspésie halibut, and a wapiti filet mignon with a rich sea urchin Bordelaise. Dessert was a standout Basque cheesecake made with Louis Cyr cheese, so good that her new foodie friend Laura made sure she left with an extra slice. Thoughtful wine pairings and impeccable service made this a truly memorable dining experience.

To wrap up their MTLàTable visits, Dalia and Chandni headed to Barroco in Old Montreal, a small restaurant full of charm and romance. With its stone walls, soft lighting, and elegant fine china, the setting felt perfect for an intimate evening. Their three-course meal began with AAA Angus beef tartare and a fresh octopus salad, followed by halibut with endive for Dalia and fragrant braised beef with celery root purée for Chandni. Dessert sealed the experience with Barroco's olive cake, which truly stood out for Dalia. While Dalia was happy to rediscover this gem, Chandni, experiencing it for the first time, is already looking forward to her next cozy night at Barroco.

Located on the lively Boulevard Saint-Laurent, Zama is a welcome addition to Montreal's nightlife scene. Chandni had the chance to discover their new Japanese-Mexican fusion menu, featuring flavourful bites like ceviche, tacos, and more. She also sampled a couple of their signature cocktails, including the Saffron Sour. With electrifying music, crave-worthy food, and an intimate atmosphere accented by exotic touches, Zama is a great spot for a night out.

Santa Claus Parade Press Conference

Chandni attended the annual Santa Claus Parade press conference at the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth Hotel, where guests were welcomed with a festive brunch featuring yule logs, eggnog, and other holiday treats, along with a Tim Hortons station offering doughnuts and hot chocolate. The conference offered a first look at what's planned for this year's parade, along with meet-and-greets with Santa, his elves, and the magic fairy. While it wasn't strictly a food-focused event, Chandni was happy to take part in the city's holiday festivities, and couldn't resist telling Santa what she wished for this year.

Invitation to try their late-night menu

Date: November 13, 2025

Chandni visited RYU for the first time to try their new late-night menu, offered at $55 from Sunday to Thursday after 8:30 p.m. She stopped by on a Thursday evening, when the restaurant was buzzing with energy and packed with guests, with a live DJ setting the mood. The menu offers excellent value and includes a drink, a choice of miso soup or edamame to start, an appetizer, and a chef's platter. Portions were generous, and the sushi stood out for its freshness and quality. For those looking for an elegant and satisfying night out without breaking the bank, RYU Griffintown is a great choice.

With its immersive décor and on-theme drinks, Secrets is the perfect spot to get into the festive mood this season.

The restaurant features a 10-course blind tasting menu that seamlessly blends Peruvian flavours with refined French techniques, with highlights such as the trout tiradito and a playful take on alfajores. Each course brought a delightful surprise, and Chandni even had the chance to try alpaca meat for the first time. With an optional wine pairing and a small selection of expertly crafted cocktails, Mezcla is an ideal destination for those seeking a unique and memorable culinary experience.

Dalia and Chandni experienced Time Out Market Montréal's holiday menu, and it truly felt like a festive feast from start to finish. They were welcomed with a glass of bubbles and a beautiful spread from Beira Nova Food, setting the tone for the evening. The night continued with a hands-on holiday Cosmopolitan workshop led by Atelier & Saveur, where Dalia fully embraced her inner mixologist. The holiday menu showcased creations from all 15 restaurants, served in three generous, shareable courses that made choosing favorites nearly impossible. The evening wrapped up on a cozy note with cookies and hot chocolate from Tunnel Espresso, the perfect way to end a festive night.

They sampled the $25 all-you-can-eat offer available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as well as the $7 menu on Thursdays and Fridays. The birria tacos were a clear standout, juicy, flavourful, and incredibly satisfying. From the warm welcome to the care put into every dish, it's easy to feel the heart of a family-owned business. If you're craving an authentic Mexican experience in the neighbourhood, Le Tarasco is well worth a visit.

On a chilly evening, Dalia and Chandni discovered the Chalet des Fêtes at Belvu Terrasse, a festive open-air rooftop in downtown Montreal. The space is transformed into a cozy winter escape, complete with fireplaces, blankets, seasonal cocktails, and comforting bites. They started with the Le Bleu grilled cheese with duck, candied pears, and Le Fleuron cheese, pairing it with Dalia's LUMINOVIBE cocktail and Chandni's hot chocolate. To end on a sweet note, they shared a chocolate cookie with toasted marshmallow. Later, they headed to Lloyd, where the magret de canard, filet de boeuf, and desserts by Pastry Chef Sylvain Vivier made for a memorable evening.

Dalia ended the month with one last festive outing, this time with her daughter. They started with Brunch with Santa at Le 9e, where the buffet, from fresh oysters and flaky viennoiseries to decadent chocolate Yule logs, satisfied every palate. Santa was on hand to hear wish lists while a live trio added festive music to the atmosphere. After brunch, they headed to the launch of Vive le Vent, a Christmas bar at French Line, with décor giving off stylish Ralph Lauren vibes and strong, festive drinks. It was the perfect spot to unwind after a holiday shopping spree at the Eaton Center.
