We dined recently at Zante. The restaurant was helpful & understanding when our arrival was delayed. Seated promptly at an excellent table for two. The Feta Zaganaki appetizer was excellent, tangy feta with spicy honey & crunchy sesame seeds. The Grilled Shrimp, at $46, was disappointing. Three medium-sized shrimp, overcooked, dry, bland. Grilled potato was soft, mushy, bland. Asparagus were crispy, tasteful, & fresh. Portions were small. Pan-seared cod, at $49, was crispy on the outside, but dry & bland inside. Noise level when restaurant was full made it hard to converse across a small table. Our servers were polite, solicitous, & prompt. For $125, without drinks, wine, or dessert, expected better.
I recently visited Zante restaurant for a dinner date & it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Loved, loved, loved everything about this place!
Everything we ordered was delicious, light, fresh, cooked to perfection & well balanced. Fantastic cocktails & impressive wine list.
The ambiance was delightful, the setting warm & inviting. Atmosphere was very lively (Saturday evening!). Service was top notch, our server was professionnal & helpful. I loved his honesty about portions sizes/food choices.
Has to be one of the best Mediterranean restaurant in Montreal, highly recommended for a fine dining experience.
I try one Greek Mediterranean resto everywhere I go & I found my heart at Zante in Montreal!
First being a single diner, I'm not always treated well, unfortunate but true. Not here! Excellent service all around. Started with a perfect vodka martini, followed by a tasty Greek salad & perfectly grilled shrimp accompanied by a really great Greek wine recommended by my great waiter. It was all perfect.

Dinner at Zante last week with a group of 6 & everything was delicious.
Greek salad, zucchini special, crab cakes, octopus, calamari, & sea bass were all outstanding.
Tiramisu, Greek yogurt dessert, & the loukoumades were the perfect ending.
Great cocktails, wine, service, & ambiance. Highly recommend.
Sat outside & had the Greek salad & the fried zucchini, both amazing. Lots of fish dishes & lamb chops looked good. With several apps - very large - & several glasses of wine the bill was $110 total. & on a mild evening the setting on Sherbrooke is very pleasant. For an informal dinner one of the best we've had in Montreal.
Sprung an over priced Pre-Fix menu on us at the table. With weak & limmtted offerings.
The crab cakes were so dry & stuffed with filling it should have been called - Breadcrumb cakes.
The Salmon Tartare, was not fresh & not edible, However the presentation was very nice.
Greek Restaurant & NO GREEK RED WINES - really ?
The white wine, a Assyrtiko was served warm - not even room temp. When I mentioned this they brought over a glass of ice with no apology.
Told them, on my second glass if they could chill it that would be great.
Second glass comes - WARM with a glass of ice.
The Tzatziki was very good & the sever was pleasant - although the warm white wine debacle was on her.
Not a chance we would ever be back which is a shame with all the business entertaining I do downtown.
There are simply to many choices -mediterranean or other to waist on a place that needs to elevate to reach mediocrity.
It's really too bad you can't upload pictures here. Otherwise I would share pictures of the best Greek Salad in the country... Lamb chops from the heavens & it just goes on. An amazing dinner last night with my Wife at the bar. Lots of action & interaction with the Team... Mackenzie made some superb martinis & the wine was delicious. Truly world class. Can't wait to come back
Thoroughly enjoyed our eating experience at Zante. Upon arrival, we were graciously welcomed. The cocktails & wine selection were extensive. The appetizers & main course were nicely presented & were absolutely delicious.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We were 4 & ordered the grilled vegetables & the calamari as appetizers, & had the grilled octopus, sea bass & grilled shrimp as our main meals. Everything was fresh & delicious & our bottle of Greek white wine was the perfect accompaniment. Friendly service throughout. An excellent evening!
