If you're looking for a standout dining experience in downtown Montreal, Zante is an absolute gem that hits all the right notes. The first thing you notice is the incredible atmosphere; it has a warm, sophisticated energy that perfectly captures the city's vibrant spirit while remaining cozy enough for a long conversation. It's the kind of place where the ambiance makes you want to settle in & stay a while. The food, however, is the real star of the show. Every dish is remarkably fresh & packed with authentic, delicious flavors that show a high level of culinary craft. From the perfectly seasoned appetizers to the beautifully presented mains, the quality is consistent across the board. Between the lively downtown vibe & the top-tier Mediterranean cuisine, it's easily one of the best spots in the area for a memorable meal.
This restaurant is new to us. Sofitel recommended it & we were not disappointed. In fact, it is now on our list of must go places when we are in Montreal. Excellent fresh ingredients, simply but ingeniously prepared. If you want perfectly prepared fish, you must go. The best salad we've ever had - romaine ribbons, green unions, dill & feta. Sounds simply but it was outstanding!

We dined there for my wife's birthday. Great atmosphere, friendly staff & prompt service. The crab cakes were perfectly done with large chunks of meat & no fillers to speak of. The aioli that accompanied it had a unique & delicious flavour. I had the Chilean sea bass which was heaven on a plate. Every bite was sublime.
What a restaurant.. These people know what they're doing. This is the most Greek authentic food you can get in Montreal when it comes to Greek Mediterranean food. The flavors are robust & vibrant, perfectly capturing the essence of Greece. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere that transports you straight to a taverna on a sun-soaked island. The service is impeccable, with staff who are passionate about the cuisine & eager to share their recommendations. Each dish is crafted with fresh ingredients & traditional recipes, making it a culinary experience that is hard to match. Don't forget to try their homemade zukini with tzatziki deep ,tge octapus akd lambchops they are simply divine! This is not just a restaurant; it's a love letter to the Mediterranean, & a must-visit for anyone who appreciates authentic Greek cuisine.
Greek restaurant located in Le Cantlie Hotel, I would say probably one of the best Greek restaurant I've been to. The atmosphere was outstanding, & kept getting better. DJ was on fire; service was perfect - very friendly people. The food was perfectly made; very tasty & no need to say anything about the drinks. Highly recommended for group parties🥳

Big bold type on menu easy to read. I was there TWICE this week & loved it both times. Our server read the audience perfectly & was a welcome addition to our group's dynamic !
Great food & ambiance on the terrace. The service was efficient & friendly. The fish was perfectly cooked & the salads were fresh & tasty. Good value as well
Had a great meal of perfectly cooked sea bass, perfectly cooked vegetable (still dreaming of their potatoes!) & started with a fresh from the garden Greek salad.Sat on their lovely terrace. Great evening with attentive service.
You can't go wrong at Zantes! The food is fresh & prepared perfectly. Service is attentive, & the cocktails wonderful. The Greek white wine, Emphasis, recommended by our waiter, was delicious. A bit loud for a business dinner, but great for any other occasion!

Zante was outstanding. The menu is diverse, the portions enormous (& delicious), the service attentive & friendly, & the people watching interesting. The Greek salad is wonderfully fresh & big enough for two people. The crab cake appetizer is big enough to be a main & the cakes are all crab meat. The grilled octopus also was large enough to be a main, & was perfectly cooked & tender. The veal chop was outstanding. & the dessert (Greek donuts with honey) were delectable. We definitely will return on our next visit to Montreal.
What an experience! As a Greek foodie from locations such as Park Avenue, Fairmount, Decarie, Grosvenor (to name a few) I have to say that the food is top notch. The fish is fresh & done to perfection. Appetizers such as grilled octopus, calamari, the zucchini, eggplant & saganaki "special" was incredibly lightly battered with a tzatziki that wasn't over powered with garlic but rather with interesting hints of herbs. The lamb chops were tender, perfectly grilled & very palatable. The extremely fresh vegetables & well selected Feta (not terribly salty) made for a delectable Greek salad! The staff was extremely attentive & we were looked after constantly where they made sure nothing was missed & that our needs were always met. From beginning to end, this was a 10 experience & I will be frequenting this restaurant often & will most definitely highly recommend!
