We sampled both the vegetarian & salmon rolls-each expertly crafted, incredibly fresh, & bursting with unique, juicy flavor profiles. The bao buns are a absolute must-order; the bun bread was pillowy-soft & cloud-like, perfectly balancing the rich, savory fillings inside for both veg & non-veg options.
Beyond the menu, the ambiance is unmatched. The restaurant features a brilliant sound setup with a dedicated live DJ curating the perfect soundtrack for the evening. It elevates the entire dining experience into a unique night out. Highly recommend, & I'll definitely be returning!
L'assiette premium était tout simplement excellente : les sushis/sashimi étaient d'une fraîcheur remarquable & les cocktails délicieux. La qualité de la nourriture était vraiment à la hauteur de nos attentes.
Malheureusement, le service n'a pas suivi le même niveau d'excellence. Une fois notre repas servi, nous n'avons pratiquement pas revu notre serveur jusqu'au moment de demander la facture. J'ai mentionné à plusieurs reprises que j'aimerais accompagner mon repas d'une bouteille de saké & j'ai même dû interpeller une hôtesse pour obtenir la carte des vins. Après avoir fait mon choix, la carte est restée sur le comptoir pendant près de 30 minutes sans suivi.
Considérant le coût assez élevé du repas, nous nous attendions à un service plus attentif & présent. Cela dit, la qualité des plats & des boissons demeure un point fort indéniable. Avec un meilleur service & un rapport qualité-prix un peu plus équilibré, l'expérience aurait facilement mérité 5 étoiles.

I ordered takeout from this restaurant, so my rating is really based only on the food itself & not the presentation, atmosphere, or dine-in experience. I do want to mention though that the service staff were very friendly & polite during pickup.
I ordered two items: the Yubari salad & the Unaguro maki roll.
The Unaguro roll tasted good, but not exceptionally memorable, especially considering the price. I also noticed that what I received did not fully match the description on the restaurant's website. The menu mentioned pickled carrots & sprouts, but I only saw cucumbers in the roll instead of picketed carrot & could not find any sprouts at all. Because of that, & factoring in the price point, I would personally rate this item around 4 stars on its own.
The bigger issue for me was the Yubari salad. It tasted quite salty even before I added the dressing that came with it. After trying just a small amount of the dressing, the salad became even saltier & was honestly too salty for my taste. I'm not sure if the saltiness came from the vegetable preparation process, such as salting the cucumbers to draw out moisture, but the overall result was much saltier than I expected.
Taking both items together into consideration, I think I can only give the food an overall 3-star experience from the food alone itself.
I never comment ! But I had to this time . We had the most amazing dinner at yubari Sunday night . Our server was very professional , made us a good plate selection , & was really nice to us . Coming back for sure & shoutout to him .
Good service & entertainment - food was lacking, our yakitori chicken was slightly underdone. Seems to be a location more for vibes vs. culinary experience. Recommend for drinks only.
Yubari is an amazing restaurant that exceeded mine & my friends expectations! The staff are extremely accommodating, & do everything to make you feel welcome & taken care of. When I asked to switch tables to a more comfortable spot, they promptly did so. Everything we ordered was delicious & very flavourful. The decor & vibe is beautiful & amazing! The service is impeccable! This local neighborhood gem became one of my favorite places for Japanese cuisine & I recommend them to all friends & clients of my business. Yubari is a great example of how a high end restaurant should be run. Cannot wait to return 😊

I've had better sushi in cheaper places 😐. The type of place you are paying for the decor not the food lol. The sushi was definitelyyyyyy not worth 40$ save your money
J'ai été il y a quelques semaine pour célébrer mon anniversaire avec mon copain & nous avons adoré notre expérience! Super service de la part de Alexia, la nourriture était délicieuse & les drinks super originaux. Assez coûteux, mais pour une soirée spéciale, très bon restaurant!!

The food was very mediocre. Portions were very little & grossly overpriced. The atmosphere could have made up for it if our server didn't ruin that for us as well. We came here for our friend's birthday yesterday, & what started off as a great night ended in frustration & anger.
The service was nothing to write home about, the most notable thing was another server coming to check on if everything was okay. We were sat (not even by our main server), the food & drinks were served, & that was literally it.
However, at the end of the night, our server found it fitting to put the burden of'paying her salary' on us despite her basic service. My friend, the birthday girl, paid first & didn't tip. We're not from Montreal so we're not familiar with the tipping culture here. Where i'm from we only tip if there was something spectacular about the service, & like i said, there was absolutely nothing that stood out. The server saw that she didn't tip, asked if anything was wrong with the service, my friend said no, then the server proceeded to say something along the lines of'oh i was wondering why you didn't tip.' After she was met with silence, she then said'you know tips are how i make my salary right?' &'so i basically just worked for free, cool.' Mind you, the rest of the table (3/4 people, including me) tipped.
I decided to confront her about the passive aggression & how that's not an appropriate way to talk to anyone let alone a customer. She maintained that she was not being passive aggressive, that she was simply letting us know how things are for her. I also maintained my stance that she was passive aggressive & that was not okay, especially knowing that today is a special day for our friend. Once everybody paid, she then threw out another passive aggressive'happy birthday!' to which i responded'no thank you' on behalf of my friend & left the restaurant.
To put it plainly, this was a rubbish experience & if i could give it 0 stars i would. I don't leave reviews of anywhere much but this situation brought a lot of anger to all of us, especially on a day where we're supposed to be celebrating.
Edit: I just remembered she also told us it was mandatory to tip in Quebec (which i now know is a lie). When my friend asked'so why isn't it included on the bill' she seemed to not have an answer. This was such a poor experience.
I celebrated my birthday at this restaurant yesterday & unfortunately left disappointed because of how I was treated at the end of the night.
When we arrived, we informed the staff that it was my birthday. While I wasn't expecting anything extravagant, the overall service throughout the evening was very basic & did not stand out in any way. Everyone at the table paid separately, & several people still chose to tip. I personally decided not to because I did not feel the service warranted it.
What made the experience uncomfortable was the waitress confronting me about my decision. She asked if there was anything wrong with the service, & I honestly answered no. She then responded with comments like,'So I just won't get paid? Okay,' & proceeded to explain that tips are her salary. As we were leaving, she said'happy birthday anyways' in a very passive-aggressive tone.
Regardless of how someone feels about tipping, confronting a customer in that manner is extremely unprofessional & left a very negative impression on me, especially on my birthday. Because of this experience, I would not return or recommend this restaurant to others.
Notre serveur Thibaut nous a ruiné notre repas, son attitude a été des plus desagreables, ses conseils n'etait que pour nous vendre les produits les plus chers sans tenir compte de nos demandes.. si Yubari veut siphoner le portefeuille de ses clients, il y a certainement des maniéres plus élégantes que celles de ce serveur.
La nourriture est correcte sans por autant etre a la hauteur du prix demandé.
