Not bad Japanese food, very unique combinations, kind of a fusion type sushi in terms of their rolls. Not really my style for rolls & they were quite expensive. Rice was kind of falling apart. Nigiris & ceviche were really really good though! Would recommend the bluefin tunas & ora king salmon. I could eat like 40 of those. Very beautifully designed restaurant, great atmosphere & service. My partner took many photos here haha. Great spot for the gram & belly!
Absoluement EXQUIS! J'ai pris la table d'hôte du midi incluant 2 petits gyozas entré & j'ai choisi les sushis choix du chef pour repas principal. Les makis & les nigiris était une délicieuse explosion de saveur dans ma bouche. Vraiment dans le top 5 des meilleurs sushis, savoureux, frais & tout simplement delicieux. Le SEUL point négatif je dirais c'est la quantité. C'etait relativement peu & j'avais encore faim après, & la table d'hote n'inclus pas, ni café ni dessert. Overall: 4,5/5
I was there in May 2026 for my wife's birthday & wow was the place beautiful. We definitely enjoyed our meals! However, what we enjoyed the most was the beef but I forgot what it was called. It was part of the Sashimi Moriawase Premium. It was something like wagyu nigiri / sashimi. One of the best wagyu I've eaten in town! I remember it out of nowhere & that is why I'm here writing a review right now! (Well, also because I remember my beautiful wife enjoying her birthday hehehe).

(FR )Il est rare que je laisse une note aussi sévère à un restaurant. Grande amatrice de sushis, j'avais de grandes attentes envers Yubari &, malheureusement, l'expérience m'a laissée sur ma faim.
Commençons par les points positifs : la fraîcheur des ingrédients est irréprochable. La coupe de sashimi de saumon Ora King était généreuse, d'une fraîcheur remarquable, avec une chair d'un orange éclatant qui donnait immédiatement envie d'y goûter.
En revanche, plusieurs plats manquaient de caractère. Les croquettes de canard étaient plutôt fades & n'offraient pas la richesse de saveurs à laquelle je m'attendais. Même constat pour le poulet karaage, les makis chauds & les makis Kintsugi. Chaque bouchée semblait promettre une belle complexité, mais cette promesse ne se concrétisait jamais. Les plats donnent l'impression d'être inachevés, comme s'il leur manquait la touche finale qui leur permettrait de véritablement se démarquer.
Du côté des boissons, l'espresso martini a été un véritable coup de coeur. L'ajout subtil de chocolat noir est une excellente idée & apporte une belle profondeur au cocktail.
Enfin, le service est à la hauteur du cadre prestigieux de l'Hôtel Saint-Paul : chaleureux, efficace & discret. Le personnel sait être présent sans être envahissant, ce qui permet de profiter pleinement du repas.
En résumé, malgré une qualité irréprochable des produits & un service exemplaire, j'ai trouvé que la cuisine manquait d'audace & de relief. Avec des assaisonnements plus affirmés & des saveurs mieux abouties, Yubari pourrait offrir une expérience beaucoup plus mémorable.

It is very rare for me to leave such a low rating for a restaurant. As a big sushi enthusiast, I came in with high expectations & left disappointed. I'm sharing this review in the hope that Yubari continues to improve.
The quality of the ingredients was undeniable. The Ora King salmon sashimi was excellent-generously sliced, beautifully vibrant in color, incredibly fresh, & delicious. The freshness of the fish was evident from the very first bite.
Unfortunately, several of the other dishes fell short. The duck croquettes were decent, but the filling lacked depth & flavor. I felt the same about the karaage chicken, the warm maki rolls, & the Kintsugi rolls. Each bite seemed to promise something exciting, but that promise never quite materialized. The dishes felt as though they were missing a final touch to bring all the flavors together.
The espresso martini, however, was outstanding. The addition of dark chocolate was a brilliant touch that elevated the cocktail beautifully.
The service was also excellent & truly reflected the standard one would expect from a restaurant located inside Hotel Saint-Paul. The staff was warm, attentive, efficient, & discreet, allowing us to fully enjoy the dining experience without interruption.
Overall, the fresh ingredients & impeccable service are undeniable strengths. However, the execution of several dishes lacked the depth, balance, & boldness needed to make the experience truly memorable.
Fantastic hospitality & food that was divine & fit for royalty. This place has blown my mind & expectations. This set a high level for the Montreal food scene during my visit. No place cannot do it better than Yubari does. The drinks are addictive concoctions. Just get your wallet ready. The pictures don't do justice to one of the best restaurant experiences of the city.
