Not too busy at that time but did start to get busy while I was eating. Love this place - food ambience service - will be back next time I am in Montreal. I had the Korokke (potato croquette) starter which came in an order of 2. Crunchy on the outside & buttery soft on the inside garnished with thinly julienned carrots green scallion bits & topped with a tangy yummy sauce. The main I had was the Tonkotsu (pork broth) ramen with thin noodles & pork shoulder topped with scallion seaweed & with a half marinated ramen egg (ajitama). Condiments provided on the side included benishoga (thin strips of pickled ginger) & chili oil, also sesame seeds. I haven't seen these provided at other ramen restaurants before & will surely ask for them - makes such a difference brings out the flavours ! The broth was superb. Creamy not too salty. The noodles were just the right amount of chewy. The pork shoulder was fresh & perfectly seasoned. Everything was generously portioned. The restaurant interior felt like I was in Japan somewhere, not Montreal. Staff were super friendly. My favourite ramen resto too bad they are not in Toronto! Will be back also yo try sister restaurant (next door same building) Ichigo Ichie for Japanese tapas & cocktails).
Vraiment un des meilleurs ramens mangés de ma vie, je recommande vivement ! Plat personnalisante & qualité des produits 🔥
There is always a crazy line.... Sometimes you have to wait up to 2 hours. However the wait is typically worth it given how good the food is. It's a local gem.
Tuve una excelente experiencia. He querido volver pero siempre está cerrado 🥲 Sugeriría que tengan más horarios abiertos al público.
Ramen was great. Unfortunately the service was pretty lackluster. They didn't acknowledge us at all the entire time. We struggled to flag someone down to place our order & to pay. & they forgot our side dish. Felt like we were intruding or invisible. There's other great ramen places around Montreal so not in a hurry to return.
The pork in the ramen is too lean. The ramen is ok. I expected better taste for the long wait.
Hands down best ramen I've had in Montreal! The broth is too delicious!
Ok atmosphere. The seats are uncomfortable, its unbalanced. the service is ok bcuz u pour ur own water, etc.. they just bring the bowls. The food was not hot & we were the first clients when they opened. The thick & thin noodles are the same exact thing but u have to pay for one. Much better places around... so overhyped & expensive... disappointed
Excellent ramen :) Nice & young atmosphère.
Can be crowded, with longer waiting time, that's the consequence of success.
Yum!
Ramen was delicious. The atmosphere is quite interesting, especially the seating & how much there is.
I recommend getting there early. They use a waitlist system that texts your phone once your table is ready.
The menu is straightforward. Personally, it seems to be lacking. But overall, it was a great meal.
