The second time, the ramen tasted fine but I got terrible food poisoning right after eating it. I've seen multiple reviews about people getting sick & the restaurant always responds saying that ramen can be hard to digest... this was not the case at all & it seems like they are not taking these reviews seriously. The food is great but I will not be going back due to fear of getting sick again.
It's unfortunate how good the photo of this ramen looks because I found it very average otherwise, while being very overpriced. I paid 31$ after tax & tips. You get a free choice of protein, 1/2 of an egg, chopped scallions, 1 nori & bamboo shoots. Anything else is going to cost a +2$ more. The noodles are okay, & I suspect they just use pre-made ones. I got the Tonkotsu broth & it didn't taste like much. Even got spicy miso (which costed 2$) added to it, but couldn't really taste any spiciness nor any relevant notes of miso. Service is fast which is a plus, but they're kind of tip hungry which is a bit weird & demanding to me.
Best Ramen I had in Montreal! The place was very hot & busy but the food was delicious!
Went there for dinner on a Tuesday night. It was fairly busy, but I was seated quickly. I had the Tonkotsu ramen, which was exquisitely rich, a little thick even. Compared to other Tonkotsu I've had before, this one is definitely more complex in flavor, & it really lingers on the palate. The noodles were great, but definitely not enough, I'm definitely ordering an extra serving next time, or some gyozas to go with the ramen. It did however come with two massive cuts of very flavorful pork shoulder to make up for it. Not a fan of the counter seat (the serving counter overhangs the table area so when you lean in, your head can bump the counter), will go to a table seat next time.
Un délicieux bol de ramen préparé selon nos envies, & un succulent poulet frit en entrée, on s'est régalé! Si vous êtes prêt à attendre un peu, ça en vaut la peine!
Lors de ma dernière visite, j'ai fait face à une petite erreur d'inattention : après avoir demandé des nouilles épaisses en supplément, le serveur a essayé de me les facturer alors qu'ils n'en avaient plus, & il semblait contrarié lorsque je l'ai remarqué avant de payer... C'est dommage ! En revanche, lors de ma première visite, j'ai eu le plaisir de rencontrer une serveuse charmante qui avait pris le temps de discuter avec moi des produits, du restaurant & de son fonctionnement. Pour bénéficier d'un service de cette qualité, je recommande de venir tôt, lorsque le restaurant est moins bondé. PS : La qualité exceptionnelle des ramens est indiscutable, je les ai adorés & j'espère que vous les apprécierez aussi !
I often find Ramen too salty, so it's really cool that they let you specify the desired level of saltiness. Tasted great & service is fast.
I've eaten at a lot of ramen places & I would put this near the top. Broth is amazingly flavourful & the ingredients are all fresh & tasty. Atmosphere is cool, small space, darkness & the decor almost makes it feel like Japan. Not much seating so be prepared for a wait...

Très bon mais l'attente est longue.... C'est aussi très gras donc faut être prêt a MANGER quand on y va... Un broth out of this world
This is THE place in Montreal for authentic Hakata style ramen. Very friendly staff in a cozy atmosphere. A must!
