The food was worth the wait, Saturday night is vey busy. We took the Kaarage (fried chicken) & the Chashu Don (Braised Pork rice) & Ramen soups that are personalized to your liking. Oh & do take the lemon ice cream. Service was quick & courteous. It felt like we were transported in Japan, sitting at the bar, looking at the chefs making their magic!
Nice place for ramen with vegan options. There's also another service at night that's worth trying.
YY has the best tonkatsu ramen in Montreal hands down! Their pork chashu is the right amount of tender, their pork broth is absolutely addicting & consistent, & their restaurant's atmosphere reminds me a lot of my travels to Tokyo. Whenever I miss authentic tonkatsu ramen, I know I can rely on YY. Keep it up, YY! 10/10
Now we are really greedy. A big Japanese lunch, one ramen down; we are going for the next ramen hit. If you were not looking on the map app, you will probably miss the entrance. YYR has a discreet entrance, but actually joins on to the other side where they can have some bar food & drinks. But we are here for the ramen - apparently the richest tonkotsu broth in town. Well, it was. The noodles were also nice & al dente, that allow the soup to grip on to. So it justifies the slurping! The host was a really nice Chinese guy who explained the way to order. Had a chat about the way of life in Canada too. Lovely friendly atmosphere. After all, the whole point of travelling is to meet & learn from the locals. Right? If you like your tonkotsu broth thicker than the average, then this is the place for you (& me)!

Best pork broth ramen we tasted in Montreal. Enjoyed the authentic ramen stall ambience. Great service from a helpful waiter.
Stopped for a quick ramen with my son who lives in Montreal & loves this place - I can see why. The ramen broth was out of this world - flavourful, rich, indescribable! The noodles were perfect, the pork was perfect, everything was perfect, except, perhaps, the egg, which was kind of pungent. Did not spoil the dish, though. We also shared some crispy chicken "bites" - just as delicious as the ramen. Two ramen & the shared chicken was too much; we had to take a couple pieces of chicken home. All in all, I see why our so e loves this place, & if I lived in Montreal I'd soon become a regular. We walked by a couple times & there were lineups - obviously it's a popular spot.
Très bon restaurant Les ramens sont à tomber à faire absolument Toilettes non accessible en fauteuil
Quel délice Que se soit le poulet frit ou le bol de ramen vraiment délicieux
While the food was delicious, the ambience was decent but it was a very very noisy restaurant. I would definitely come back for some more Ramen but definitely not to chat while slurping that Ramen.
This is by faaaaaar the best ramen in Mtl, cocktails are quite good & the bartender Damien provides outstanding service paying attention to every client, I highly recommended it.
Best ramen in Montreal. Don't walk run. Gets very busy so don't go with a big party on peak times. Get the miso cod & the ramens!
Go for the hot ramen, stay for the summer cold karage ramen. Excellent service & a nice atmosphere.
Average ramen, with a rush / slight rude service, authentic Japanese ramen restaurant atmosphere (too loud for me :/)
Delicious Ramen. They also offer gluten free noodles for your Ramen. I ordered vegetable in chicken broth with chicken pieces - it was really good!
