ramen(365) broth(80) noodle(48) pork(44) chicken(38) bouillon(27) tonkotsu(20) soup(17) busy(17)There's a lot of waiting, but my complaint doesn't relate to that. After being seated, the cold drafts from the doors opening & closing were draining. Thankfully, the soups were served hot. The server, though nice & quick, seemed to be in a hurry when answering my questions about the different add-ons I could choose for my soup. It felt like I wasn't allowed to take my time to reflect, just to make a choice. While eating at the top counter, the credit card machine was placed right in front of me, & every time the dusty bill printer worked, particles of dust seemed to fall dangerously close to my soup. Despite these issues, the place itself looked great. When my soup arrived, it tasted really good, but they forgot two of my extras. I didn't mind waiting for them to be added, but when the mushrooms finally came, they were so cold that it was disappointing. The broth, however, was delicious, & the noodles were amazing. While eating, I noticed a girl in the kitchen with blue or green hair (or maybe both) cleaning something with a sponge right next to the soups lined up for their add-ons. Drops of water from whatever she was cleaning were falling into the soups, which, given how crowded the kitchen was, seemed unhygienic. I can't lie-I was happy with my meal. I liked being able to follow the preparation of my soup while sitting at the counter, & the food itself was good. However, small hiccups like these made the experience less than perfect &, overall, a bit disappointing. Will I go again? Yes. But will I hype it up to others & say it was amazing? No. I think a few small changes could greatly improve the atmosphere & experience.Voir plus
Very lacklustre ramen, targeted at Caucasian palate. Kinton, sansotei, & ichi ramen are all comparable or better for a cheaper price. Wouldn't go back & wouldn't recommend. The one plus would be that it has vegan broth for those who careVoir plus
This ramen restaurant has undoubtedly the best ramen you could find in Montreal. It truly masters the formula of the signature ramen anyone would be craving for whether or not you have eaten ramen in Japan. My only complaint is that the options of ramen are practically non existent. This isn't a major issue as the classic ramen they offer is plenty enough to fill my craving, but I would hope that they add different ramens such as the tan tan ramen.
Enjoy!Voir plus
great spot for ramen, the table we were at was wobblyyyyVoir plus
My favorite ramen spot in Montreal - it never disappoints.Voir plus
This ramen spot was an instant hit four our taste buds. The thick, flavorful broth was a delightful surprise. We will definitely return whenever we're craving ramen again.Voir plus
Produit biologique ! The bestVoir plus
I've been to several ramen restaurants &, although there is some pretty stiff competition, Yokato Yokabai still stands as the best place to get ramen in Montreal. They have not only the best ramen but also the best entrées & sides & they have great cocktails as well (Shiso Sour being my favourite). They also have, by far, the best pork & rice bowl (chashu don) out of all the ramen places. You could just order tapas & still come out of it with a great experience. The menu is that good. This is also the place where I had plum wine for the first time & I've been in love ever since. I've lost count of the amount of times me & my best friend have been here. Yokato Yakabai is, quite literally, the best.
Very good ramen. Unfortunately, both our broths were not hot, which is essential for ramen.Voir plus
Tiny place, big taste. I don't think I've ever had such rich broth in ramen before-absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked, & the pork was tender. This is one of the best ramen spots I've tried in Montreal. The place is tiny, though, so be prepared to squeeze into your seat!Voir plus
I was in NYC this past weekend, i ate at Momofuku. Your ramen KICKS THEIR'S IN THE ASS SO HARD!!! So hard. Thanks for making me proud to be a Montreal cook, guys.Voir plus
