This place is far for me but it was soooo good that it's worth it. Will make the trek back for sure!
Excellent food! Wow you can taste the quality. The har gow & siu mi best i've eaten in a long time. Fresh & tasty! You can't go wrong with this place… try it & you'll want to go back :)

A friend recommended us this resto. Went here to try. Just 2 of us & waited half hour to get seated. Table was very small!! We ordered 5 dishes & waiter had to squeeze all 5 to make a room. On top of all this nuisance, was a couple seating next to us reaching out for chopsticks, hot sauce which were both on our table!! As for the food, in fairness, I could say Conge was good. Generous portion but quite salty. We liked the siomai. Braised beef was delicious. Rest of our orders were ok.
At Yin Ji, You can get some traditional, non conventional plates, as if you where in China, Guangdong province.
Yin Ji's offers is also influenced by Hong Kong blend of flavors. So it's traditional plates have modernity of the 20th century, but still very authentic.
Drinks, especially with milk are all on the modern & Hongkong side which are refreshing.
Yin Ji's specialties are noodle rolls & congee. But you can have some Dim Sum plates, but also some other Cantonese specialties.
Orders are done thru smartphone, so bringing one with you is a good idea.
The dishes are fresh, mostly delicate, but tasty & authentic. The service is nice & fast, like 5 to 10 minutes between plates rotation.
If you want to explore new dishes through Cantonese culture, Yin Ji offers some specific dishes impossible to find at other Chinese restaurants in the whole Québec province.
All in all it's a great place, authentic & exotic flavors with pricing on the wallet friendly side.
It's definitely one of the place to put in your list if you want to explore more classic or authentic dishes without taking an airplane ticket to China.
If you have a party larger than two, prepare to wait long enough to reconsider your life choices. Once inside this shoebox, we were treated to dim sum-minus the charm of the carts & plus a surprise 15% Family tax.
The rice noodles were so plain I thought I'd lost my sense of taste, & the beef in the noodles was a fatty adventure I didn't ask for. The fish balls were average.
Thank goodness for the custard buns, which were actually delicious. They were almost-good enough to make me forget I was being charged a mandatory tip
Cheung fun skin was way too thick. They also put a giant piece of lettuce inside. All I could taste was the lettuce. Not authentic as advertised. Everything else was ok.

Delicious dim sum, fairly priced, quick service. Love that you order from phone 📱. They got loyalty card also to give you free dim sum dish after 10 stamps. It was our fist time today. I am thinking coming back tomorrow 😅 my new favourite dim sum place now ❤?
It could be a good place for the local community folks.
However, for the foreigners it's a nightmare
There is not a paper menu
& guess what ? In order to get
' free WiFi' , you have to do a free favor to the business, which is elevating the Facebook status of the business, which puts the customer in bondage , as you must agree to the therms , otherwise you are not going to get the WiFi , but there is the biggest trap for them & the customers:)
In order to do all those things , you have to use Internet, & as they deny to provide you , you lose 10-15 min using you slow internet in order to fulfill theirs requirements.
Finally , any average business manager will calculate that occupying a table without consuming food is a loss of income, & irritating the customers.
By my understanding, this business is definitely relying on local community visitors.

Un sans faute. Des plats authentiques & délicieux qu'on peut difficilement trouver ailleurs.
J'ai commandé 5 plats :
- Les rice rolls'tubercule de moutarde & porc' : 11/10 (fantastique)
- Le congee'porc & oeuf centenaire' : 10/10 (quel plat réconfortant!)
- Les baos au char siu : 10/10 (délicieux avec leur succulente huile pimentée)
- Les siu mai au porc & aux crevettes : 10/10
- Le riz collant au porc dans une feuille de lotus : 10/10
Bref, chaque plat était une fabuleuse découverte culinaire. Pour le goût, la qualité & la quantité, les prix me semblaient très abordables. En plus, j'ai reçu un excellent service. Merci beaucoup!
The rice noodle rolls were as authentic as I remember them from a trip to Hong Kong. The rice porridge was also delicious. The black & gold bao bun is unique & an absolute must-try, & the sesame dessert brought back wonderful nostalgia.
