I was a regular customer for almost 4 years. I've seen the quality of the restaurant deteriorate severely over that period. The service is now a lot worse (today I came in after ordering online 40min prior & the food was nowhere near ready), the quality of the food is simply not as good, & the portions have become ridiculous for the price.
I am disappointed because this was my go-to sushi place for a long time, & I will find a new one after today.
Nothing special about this place. It was busy Friday night. Foie gras was subpar. Felt like just got out from the market can. Fish was so so not so fresh but not too bad. Overall mediocre to its best. For the price it costs. Cute date place but Probably not worth it.
Très bonne adresse pour manger japonais. On ne s'y trompe pas, c'est fréquenté par leur communauté. Pensez à réserver ou soyez patient.

Their rolls are delicious! Poke bowls have lots of fish & very fresh! Cozy atmosphere!
The chirachi was great, with good fresh fish. Friendly & fast service. Lots of options on the menu.
I love this place: excellent sushi super fresh & excellently crafted. Friendly efficient service & a very welcoming & comfortable atmosphere. It's my favourite restaurant in the area.
It was my second time visiting this sushi place. Loved it as usual. I'd rate it as the top few Japanese sushi places in Montreal among those I've been to. Every dish (those shown in the pics) was yummy. We ordered a few more (Toshikoshi soba, beef rice bowl & Kizuna Hotate Maki) which we forgot to take pics. They were also really delicious!
I took many friends to YEN over the past two years. This time, I ordered one of their poke bowls with salmon & scallops-it was beautifully arranged, super fresh, & the balance of flavors was spot on. The rice was seasoned just right, & the sauce had enough depth without overpowering the ingredients.
What stood out to me was how calm & inviting the space felt. It's minimal but warm, with clean lines & soft lighting that make you want to slow down & actually enjoy your food. The staff were really kind too-patient with questions, & they seemed to genuinely care about making sure the bowl came out the way I liked it.
We went to celebrate my mother's in law birthday & the place is so nice & cozy the waitress was very patient & friendly with us as we had many questions about the menu he explained all & his recommendations were great the food & the sake just wonderful we gonna come back for sure
Muy rico el poke de maguro, y el tartare de salmón, aunque hubo uno de los makis que fue muy insulso, el resto estaba muy bueno
One of the most beautiful menus I've ever seen. You just want to eat everything. Excellent food at a fair price.
