The bowls are still generous too in portions but if you eat a lot you may need an appetizer. I wouldn't say it's the best sushi I ate. The rice lacked flavor, the fishes are all the cheapest cuts, etc. However, for the price I paid, this is very good. In Montreal, I'm happy about this find. I really enjoyed the ambiance too & the service was good. Overall, a good ratio for quality & price. With slightly more generous portions.
The place is very nice, with a calm atmosphere. The food was fresh & tasty & they have a lot of options.
Ordered pick up, a party platter. Specifically asked for soy sauce at the counter. Got home & NO SOY SAUCE! Needless to say that oversight ruined our dinner experience. Who can enjoy sushi with no soy sauce? From the reviews & my own experience this is a place that has issues with take away orders.

Best Sashimi Bowl in Montreal! The Nori Barachirashi was absolutely delicious, with incredibly fresh fish. I also had the Salmon Sashimi which was amazing, with zero fishy aftertaste! The service is excellent & the atmosphere is very warm & cozy. Highly recommended!

Food was decent & was full but that was because there was a lot of rice on the dons but limited fish or protein. For the gyudon there was only 5 piece of small beef.
YEN CUISINE JAPONAISE is a gem for authentic Japanese dining. The serene ambiance & attentive service set the stage for an unforgettable meal. The sashimi is incredibly fresh & beautifully presented, & the miso black cod is perfectly cooked & flavorful. Every dish reflects meticulous care & quality. Whether for a quiet dinner or a special celebration, YEN consistently impresses & is one of my top recommendations.
Great variety of food & it was really good. We tried the unadon & the soba & they were both amazing. The decor inside is also very beautiful, great place for any occasion
The atmosphere & the decoration is great. Also the quality of the ingredients & the size of the portions are outstanding. The service was not good but not terribly bad. The waitress didn't explain to us the mom's day menu & took our order after long minutes. Yet, she was super quick to let us know that the reservation only lasted 1:30 hours. Also, we ordered the bill & it took her 15 min & a reminder from the table besides to bring it. In the meantime she was trying drinks inside the kitchen (open kitchen so you could see). I'm definitely giving it a second chance because the menu & dishes are great.
Une belle découverte, l'ambiance y est Le choix est immense & les portions sont très généreuse Les serveuses étaient aux petits soins ceci dit ,le service pour ma part ,était extrêmement lent ,40 minutes pour avoir l'entrée & la plat en même temps
Le restaurant est magnifique, on est plongé dans l'ambiance en rentrant ! Les plats sont excellents & il y a beaucoup de riz, peut être un peu copieux si combiné avec une entrée !
This place was so chilllll. Really loved the ambience inside, & the staff was super friendly. The food was really delicious & light. They had a lot to pick from so we will definitely be back to order something else again. I find a lot of things in downtown are super overpriced for no reason, so this was definitely a gem to find.
