Do not come here. You will get better service at a food court & better quality of food. Came in eve of Christmas eve, the restaurant did not seem busy. However, it was impossible to find seating. I waited over 30 minutes just to be acknowledged & was eventually seated at the bar.

The food quality was unacceptable. The fish dish was extremely salty & stringy. The foams on the plate were dried out. Even worse, breakfast ordered through the hotel came with berries that had visible white mold next to my eggs Benedict. This is a serious food safety issue.

Very disappointing experience. Would not return.

The food & vibe is great- the staff is incredibly unhelpful & seem to require further hospitality training. I was staying at the hotel & had three issues. First, I ordered breakfast & my order was never put in- I waited over 45 minutes before I was told this. I was offered a croissant for my trouble & never got my food. Second, we were asked to leave due to reservations despite staying at the hotel- there were plenty of open spots around us & we were there for 30 minutes having one drink. The third, I broke my ankle outside & was trying to get to the hospital. I had been putting in to go orders all week & when I tried to put in a to go order on the way to the hospital I was told that they don't offer to go orders- only eating in restaurant or room service. I explained I had been doing pick up all week & that I broke my ankle. The gentleman who answered my phone call told me there was no way I was doing pick up all week (I have receipts showing I did) but agreed they could'figure something out'. My husband went to pick up my order, & they said it was never put in for the second time, but we could get room service. I waited over an hour for two cold & stale bagels & was charged a room service fee still. It was over $75 for two bagels. We absolutely love staying at the Vogue but this restaurant makes us think twice about coming back. If you're coming just for dinner I'm sure it's fine, but if you're relying on Yama as an option during a hotel stay, I cannot recommend any less. I've never experienced such poor service.

Decent bar snacks, great cocktails.

Slipped in for a quick drink during my stay at the hotel. The bar was a ghost town at 3 PM on a Sunday, so I basically got a private session with the bartender. He clearly knew what he was doing, & instead of letting me blindly pick from the signature list, he suggested small tweaks like adding yuzu syrup & zest. I don't remember the exact builds, but both drinks were smooth & distinctive.

Food options were limited during off-peak hours, & I ordered the chicken dumplings & truffle fries. The dumplings came bathed in a tangy soy-based sauce & were fine for the price. The truffle fries were slightly undercooked, though the trio of sauces on the side was good enough.

YAMA is a Japenese restaurant located in Vogue Hotel. This was a convenient & easy option for us since we stayed at Vogue. We dined at YAMA our first evening & were pleasantly surprised. The menu had many vegetarian options for us, which we appreciated. Even for a Sunday evening, the bar & restaurant were steadily busy.
We ordered:
Starters: edamame & vegetable gyoza. The edamame was classic. The vegetable gyoza were cooked crispy & was served in a shallow bowl with a coriander infused citrus sauce. It was tasty, & balanced well.
Small plate/side: midori no ha maki roll is a vegetarian roll with fresh veggies, wrapped in lettuce as opposed to traditional seaweed. It was a simple roll with a burst of freshness. We ordered the truffle fries because our server said they were amazing. They did not disappoint.
Entree: we ordered the roasted eggplant for our entree. We did not know what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised. The eggplant is cooked so well that it melts in your mouth. It was topped various wild mushrooms cooked differently (i.e. some crispy). It was a mild dish packed with a lot of flavor.
Dessert: For dessert we ordered the chocolate praline mousse. This was insane. Imagine a hard chocolate shell bomb with a mousse filling. The exterior was a chocolate & hazelnut shell. This dessert satisfies all cravings: chocolate, crunchy, & crispy.
We were very pleased with the vegetarian options at YAMA.

The only downside is the price. You are paying hotel prices to dine here, but that should be expected.

Sarah Al Hajj Ali was a fantastic host & impromptu concierge for our short trip in Montreal. She greeted us every day as Vogue Hotel guests & provided fantastic recommendations for nights out in the city. Thank you very much, Sarah.

We ate here twice. Both times for breakfast as it was attached to the hotel we stayed for a long weekend.

The food is good. I ordered the bagel & yogurt bowl on separate days. They weren't bad. My 8 year old daughter wasn't a fan of the oatmeal. She normally loves oatmeal, but didn't like this one because it was sweet. She's used to oatmeal without added flavours.

As someone who is allergic to eggs, their breakfast options mostly all contained eggs. Fortunately, they had side items to add to the non-egg options on the menu.

The prices are a bit on the high side for what you get. However, I'm guessing that's a way to eat at the credit you get if you are Hilton Honors Gold or Diamond.

The service was good, though. No complaints.

called YAMA breakfast room service at our stay at hotel. Food portion is small, & expensive! They charge $8 room service fee, & mandatory 18% tips even tho they didn't give any service! (if bringing food to room is service then it should be already counted in $8 room service fee.) $69 food ended up being charged for $110...
