Afficher toutpizza(549) style(113) detroit(96) slice(77) sauce(64) crust(48) new york(40) sicilian(33) dough(30)Fantastic pizzeria. All of their offerings are good. I thought the Sicilian pizza might be too heavy because it is thick but the dough is actually light & airy which is nice. Detroit pizza is loaded with cheese underneath which creates that crust on the outside but also holds the sauce really well even when re-heated (definitely recommend the vodka bacon). The grandma margarita is also fantastic. Very aromatic. Pretty impressive that they are able to consistently dish out all these different type of pizzas at such a high level. Kudos to the team here.Voir plus
There are two categories of pizzeria's in town. Welldun falls under the latter: Expensive, High End with a spin (in this case, two) on pizza's.
Marguerita Pizza (the true choice to test the 3 main ingredients). Dough spot on, thin, light, crispy. Sauce nice, like one step below fresh tomatoes (not possible season round) but good, right flavour. Cheese was mozzarella, it was okay & helped out by the pecorino grated cheese. 4 out of 5.
Spicy Sausage Pizza. Ah yes, this one could of been great like other pizzerias. Dough, Sauce, Mozzarella like a Margarita. By spicy sausage, we thought the sausage was spicy (spicy peppers used for hot & spicy flavour). Way too little sausage (maybe 10 fingernail size pieces of sausage) & Way too many peppers (they got quantities mixed up imho). 2.5 out of 5.
Sicilian Style Pepperoni Pizza. Well, I am not a fan of this spin on a pan type pizza. Tomato sauce stlii good, but the dough is a little too greasy imho (not sure if Sicilian Pizza is supposed to be this greasy). Ah, the pepperoni, sorry guys but it is one of the low end ingredients you use on your pizza's. It is bland, super small, & gets'dog ears' when cooked as it curls up. Only saving grace, it's not oily on top. Flavour less. 3.5 out of 5.
This place hits a homerun for that walk in slice & go customer. They sell alot, it's fast & fresh. Hard pass if you're doing takeout for a family & friends gathering. 3 pizza's ran me a $100 & at best they are like a Domino's Medium in size. They were not bad, but with 6 people & kids there was leftovers.Voir plus
this is the best pizza in town hands down. prices are good, the quality of the dough is top notch. even if you get it delivered the crust remains crispsVoir plus
I've been looking forward in trying this spot out for months. Let me say, it definitely is as good as everyone says!!! I loveddd it! The pizza dough is fresh, fluffy & everything else just delishhhhh! I had the mushroom & MVP one. Yummmmmm!
Waiting in line in those fumes was rough, i couldn't imagine how the staff can work in that ouffff, all props to them! It's small, so expect to mainly go for take out. But now during summer there are benches close by, was perfect!
Whoever writes the names on the boxes, so pretty! Haha 🙌🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽Voir plus
The Detroit pizza here is insane. The Sicilian pizza was great too, the dough was super fluffy. & they're even better reheated so it's worth taking some home! Absolutely delicious.Voir plus
Decided to stop in for a slice while I was strolling down Wellington street in Verdun. I was looking for a sandwich shop or blackstrap bbq but couldn't find either so I decided to go inside Welldun pizza to sample a slice & I am glad I did: The pizza was awesome! Fresh ingredients, chunky pizza sauce & crispy'welldun' dough. I had a slice of the Margherita & a slice of the Sicilian style pepperoni (a corner of course!).
Atmosphere was cool, it reminded me of an old school pizzeria & I loved the counter seating in the back of the restaurant. The Service was very friendly & welcoming. I watched the owner carefully making one delicious pizza after another while talking with some regular customers. Loved the ambiance & will definitely be making a return trip very soon! As I was leaving I saw a beautiful pie coming out of the oven, the carnivore, with heaping servings of various meats. I wanted to sit back down & have another slice but decided to save it for the next time ; ...
It turns out Welldun Pizza is in the same spot as the old Blackstrap BBQ. A second life for a great location! Highly recommended for a quick delicious pizzaVoir plus
Probably the best pizza I've ever had. The Detroit style was a first for me & it's amazing. The crust, the tomato sauce, the dough.... outstanding. Must try!Voir plus
its good but no way in hell worth the price. Why charge so much for pizza ? Dough, sauce, cheese...i mean pizza not a rich man food but you want to sell it as it isVoir plus
Okay no joke we have ordered from welldun every week for the passed 3 weeks with different friend groups & theyre very consistent! We just had their mushroom pizza for the first time & for all the mushroom pizza lovers out there it is a must. They surely do not skimp on the mushroom & it is flavourful. There is a pattern of quality in their ingredients & craft here I must say. One of the best new york pepperoni pizzas I have had in my life. Their pesto grandma style is very delicious! Also my present favorite pesto pizza in montreal. Their detroit pizzas are nice too They know how to make not just good, but great pizza here, all the way down to their crust, dough overall & their tomato sauce is yummy!Voir plus
Best Detroit Style pizza in Montreal. Top quality ingredients, the dough is thick & very airy & the edges have a generous amount of grilled cheese. Also tried the NY Style margarita & it was delicious.Voir plus
I'm sure the food is great, but if you run out of dough, you should be able to refund customers that ordered online (or better yet prevented us from ordering in the first place).Voir plus
The best pizza in the city & it's not close. The dough alone is worthy of a visit. The service also is exceptionalVoir plus
This is what you called a real pizzeria, i tried each style & i can safely say that each style is the best i've ever had in my life!! From the under crust to the dough itself to the sauce, everything is at its peak. If you are looking for an amazing sauce, crunchy real pizza, you better drive up here & try these amazing pizza. The new york style margarita pizza was to die for!! That vodka sauce was AMAZING! As a line cook for the gatto matto restaurant, i'm very impressed.Voir plus
This place never disappoints. With every visit we make it keeps getting better & better. The Detroit style vodka bacon pizza just slaps everytime & is my go-to square. The Sicilian-style pepperoni is a really close 2nd with its crispy pep slices. The dough is so pillowy & addictive. You can definitely see the love they put into this place with the quality of the pizza. I highly recommend it!Voir plus
We arrived about half an hour before they closed & the place was really crowded. I suggest you take your time because there wasn't many options left by the take out turn came. We wanted to order margarita but they ran out, we got 3 Detroit styles which were really good, & a Grand-Mere which was the best dough for us! Best pizza I've ever had in Montreal for sure!Voir plus
Probably the best pizza I've ever had! Dough was perfectly crispy & the flavor was 10/10Voir plus
Each slice is packed with flavors & taste & the dough compliments each on its own. Superb texture & will definitely be back to try out the remaining flavors. Thank youVoir plus
Every aspect of the pizza: toppings, sauce & dough are amazing here!! The dough is chewy & elastic, with a little bit of tang from the sourdough-style fermentation. I enjoy every style of pizza they serve, just choose based on your mood. If you're indulging, go for the cheesy crust of the Detroit-style & if you want something lighter but still crispy & filling, the New York & Grandma-style are good options. The toppings taste fresh, & they are definitely generous. The sauce is balanced between sweet & tangy & perfectly complements the dough. If dining in, there's a spicy olive oil that I love to smother my pizza with. One slice is quite filling but I always want more! One of my favourite pizza spots in Montreal!Voir plus
My first visit to welldun Pizza. I had the Sicilian pepperoni slice. It was amazing. The dough light, fluffy & crispy. Sauce was nice & tangy, & they put lots of pepperoni, which made a bit too salty but still very good. I will definitely be back to try other slices. Brought home a Margherita pie that was delicious. 9.1/10 outstanding 👌Voir plus
Fresh ingredients (that pesto 🤤) , incredible sauces on delicious, perfect dough... I can't even focus my words thinking about it right now. I've seen a lot of foodies going here in the last few months & I can confirm this one is NOT overhyped. It really is that good.Voir plus
Some of the best pizza I've had in a long time. The owner is there working hard to make it all happen. Delicious home made dough & great service.Voir plus
This review is relative to the Detroit style pizza. Almost no cheese, ratio of dough was all wrong, very heavy, will not try again. Too bad had high hopes for this as I love this style of pizzaVoir plus
Drove out of our way today from the south shore to try this place out after seeing it on social media. I wasn't expecting much but it was actually really good, the dough was incredible & I know everyone will go for the square slices but the New York style Margherita pizza was actually surprisingly solid. Only a few negatives because nothing is perfect & everything can be improved, 1. The NY Style Margherita pizza was really too light on sauce to the point where it was a little dry. Dough/crust was incredible, flavors were good but just a little dry. If it had a little more sauce to balance it out I would gladly order a whole pie. 2. The Vodka sauce detroit slice had about 50% less burrata on it than what you see on social media - but it was really good nonetheless. 3. The person I was with got the detroit style pepperoni slice & quite a chunk of pepperonis were really burnt to a crisp more than just a crispy edge, nearly half the surface of the entire pepperoni. Not sure if its supposed to be like that We're already planning on coming back it was really good overall.Voir plus
Yes! A new(ish) restaurant on Wellington that does its own original thing, & not a terrible chain restaurant like KFC! At this point, it's a duty to spread the word about good places like these, so that Verdun isn't taken over by big corporations. Duty aside, this place is really damn good anyway. I was a mix of concerned & curious before their opening about what they could possibly do to stand out in a scene that already isn't lacking in excellent pizza. I have to admit I did not expect Detroit-style pizza, & that I'm very surprised & pleased by that answer to my questioning! & what amazing pizza it is too. A ton of delicious toppings (best bacon I've ever had on pizza by far), fresh sauce that bursts with flavors in generous quantity, & since each pizza is cooked at a size of 6 servings, a dough always fresh enough so that the parts that should be soft aren't dry, & the parts that should be crunchy aren't soggy. Staff is friendly & mindful of the cleanliness of the place. Price are more than reasonable (you can easily get a piece of pizza & a can of soda for around 10$ after taxes). Topping options are varied & creative, & 4 different styles of pizza are usually available (Brooklyn, Detroit, Sicilian & one they call Grand-mère), all delicious. Right by Métro De L'Église, so there really is no reason not to try it if you're in the area & are hungry for a bite. There's no way you'll regret it!Voir plus
This surpasses numerous pizza joints in Montreal, delivering absolute perfection! With a variety of pizza styles to choose from, we opted for the NY-style veggie option, which was generous in toppings, crispy crust & delicious dough. Can't wait to try the rest of their menu!Voir plus
