Okay no joke we have ordered from welldun every week for the passed 3 weeks with different friend groups & theyre very consistent! We just had their mushroom pizza for the first time & for all the mushroom pizza lovers out there it is a must. They surely do not skimp on the mushroom & it is flavourful. There is a pattern of quality in their ingredients & craft here I must say. One of the best new york pepperoni pizzas I have had in my life. Their pesto grandma style is very delicious! Also my present favorite pesto pizza in montreal. Their detroit pizzas are nice too They know how to make not just good, but great pizza here, all the way down to their crust, dough overall & their tomato sauce is yummy!Voir plus
We came in the summer when the main street was closed off to vehicle traffic. The pedestrian traffic though was quite impressive. The restaurant is well situated, easily accessible on foot & very inviting. There are lots of tables inside & a few outside on the street patio. The selection of pizzas is ample with lots of vegetarian options. They serve only Sicilian slices or New York styles.Voir plus
Counter self-serve pizza place. We tried 3 slices of pizza. Detroit pepperoni (7$), New York Margherita (5$) & Grandma Margherita (5.75$). Our favorite is New York Margherita. In addition to being the cheapest, we prefer our crust slim. Also, it's a popular item so it was fresh out of the oven. This is what you called a real pizzeria, i tried each style & i can safely say that each style is the best i've ever had in my life!! From the under crust to the dough itself to the sauce, everything is at its peak. If you are looking for an amazing sauce, crunchy real pizza, you better drive up here & try these amazing pizza. I have been looking for the best pizza in Montreal. & this place hands down is the best. My favorite is the New York. Everything is high quality. 2nd is Detroit pesto vodka 3rd Grandma Coming back soon. The cashier is kind & amazing, she was very hospitable, even under a lot of pressure & even while being so busy. Please don't forget to tip them good, they work in the heat, next to an oven all day. I did that job before. Trust me they deserve the tip.Voir plus
Oh myyyyy goodness! As a huge fan of American-Itallian pizza I am always on the hunt for something similar tasting available locally. Until now, the search hasn't been successful... I've tried the other mtl "NY" styled slice shops, & while they are good, they pale in comparison to the "real thing". Welldun is such a gem in MTL! We ordered New York slices as well as Detroit & they were both incredible & very authentic! Perfectly balanced in flavour, acidity, crisp & chew... Beautiful selection, friendly service & very clean. On a beautiful stroll on Wellington, we passed Welldun, a place I wanted to try so badly. We had not had lunch but being close to dinner, we opted to order one New York style slice & asked them to cut it in two. They were so kind to do so, service with a big smile, & the pizza.....delish!! the sauce was amazing as was the crust & cheeses. Don't walk, run to this place! Pic is of the half slice. Very good pizza in the neighborhoods of Verdun. We had the NY (New York style pizza), Margarita (Flatbread pizza), Detroit (deep dish pizza) & the Sicilian (more like a Roman pizza - in my opinion). The were all very good made with fresh ingredients & the famous tomato Bianco Dinapoli. Love it too because you can try different styles of pizza at the same time. Every aspect of the pizza: toppings, sauce & dough are amazing here!! The dough is chewy & elastic, with a little bit of tang from the sourdough-style fermentation. I enjoy every style of pizza they serve, just choose based on your mood. If you're indulging, go for the cheesy crust of the Detroit-style & if you want something lighter but still crispy & filling, the New York & Grandma-style are good options. The toppings taste fresh, & they are definitely generous. The sauce is balanced between sweet & tangy & perfectly complements the dough. If dining in, there's a spicy olive oil that I love to smother my pizza with. One slice is quite filling but I always want more! One of my favourite pizza spots in Montreal!Voir plus
