Amazing food, service & ambiance. Highly recommend when visiting Old Montreal.
Very amazing experience! The food was spectacular & very tasty! I had the Escargot gratiné for starter & the coquille Saint-Laurent was to die for! Our server Romain was very attentive & his service was of high quality. Dominique came & checked in on us, she was an absolute gem & made sure that we had everything that we needed. I recommend this restaurant if ever you visit the Old Port of Montreal!!!View more
I had a fantastic meal here! I started with the French onion soup, which was absolutely delicious-the cheese was perfectly crispy, & the bread had the ideal crunch. I also tried the Brussels sprout salad with shredded duck. While it was my least favorite dish of the night (mainly because I'm not a huge fan of duck), it was still really good. I do wish it had more Brussels sprouts, but the thick, flavorful bacon was a standout! For my main dish, I had the vol-au-vent, & it was one of the best comfort foods I've ever had. It wasn't too heavy & reminded me of chicken pot pie in phyllo dough-it was absolutely delicious, & I highly recommend it! For drinks, I originally asked for rosé, but they didn't have it. The server recommended Prosecco instead, & I'm so glad they did-it was amazing!View more
We spotted this place by walking by, driven by the cozy atmosphere & pretty decor we decided to make a reservation for dinner the next day. We indicated we were two couples with two babies, & a table with a great amount of space was waiting for us, which made us feel instantly welcome. The atmosphere was pretty local & easy going, we even made some friends with two girls that were dining solo (one was reading a book accompanied with a drink)! The food was just AMAZING; we had the gnocchi Mac & cheese, the lamb, the mushroom raviolis, shepherds pie & meatballs (in order of favorite to less favorite). For dessert we had pudding Chomeur & crème brûlée. Even the cappuccinos were amazing. This was our last night at Montreal & couldn't have been happier with the choice. Can't recommend this place enough, thanks to all the staff for making it a great evening, & of course the kitchen & bar staff as well. We will definitely come back!!!View more
I gave a 3 because although the food was decent (not amazing, but still good), the way the waiter used his kindness against us was way too much. Let me explain. As a waitress, I totally understand what suggestive selling is; however, too much of that is not good. For almost every meal or drink we ordered, the waiter had something to say about it. Regardless if it was insisting that we take on a bigger portion, strongly recommending a wine while ordering food, insisting on another drink, suggesting to add a protein to a meal, & the cherry on top, strongly (& when I say strongly, I mean it) suggesting the way we should split bills between us. This waiter has no idea what our relationships all are between us nor does he know our individual financial means. I found it truly insulting that this waiter almost forced us to split the whole bill in equal amounts when we all ordered different things, did not share at all & definitely do not have the same means. In no way is this his responsibility to decide upon that. We were all really confused about it & thank god, after my friend refusing his offer twice, he ended up bringing one bill for the whole table. Not the best, but at least now we could decide how to split it. I know what was this waiter's name, but since he was really nice overall, I don't want to put the whole blame on him. I am not sure if this is how employees are trained there, but that is not the way to go. Apart from that, as I said the food was good, but portions could have been bigger for the price. I was expecting way more flavours for "higher-end" food based on the prices. Atmosphere was all right, the music was loud, but it was okay for a restaurant. I am not sure if this is a tourists trap, but as someone from this city, I would not recommend unfortunately.View more
We went around 14h & even tho the place was empty the service was very slow. The meal was ok, not worth its prize tho. They change their potage every week & the one we had was watermelon flavored, I do not recommend...View more

Stopped by for lunch with my daughter. I asked for a glass of Bordeaux (my wine was refrigerated 🧐🥴)my daughter got lemonade (apparently it was a canned fizzy one). The place was pretty much empty at 2:30 in the afternoon (now I know why) there was only one ☝️ person at the bar. My daughter asked for the steak med-rare & fries, I requested the beef burger med-rare. The food arrived, I cut my burger in half, it was gray, no sight of pink. The waiter became very defensive when I said I'd rather not eat that. This was the ONLY time I refused to eat food that was not to my liking, I mean for $26/burger I expect it to at least be cooked to my liking, we're not going to talk about the size, that's another story. I have to say it looked pleasing to the eye, the fries not so much, they were soft & dark in color, but that obviously has a lot to do with the kind of oil they use & the fact they don't double fry them also the oil temp. So the waiter lost the "battle" with me & called the manager who also was very defensive & swore the burger is great. I said I was not told about the laws of serving med-rare burger which apparently was not possible in Canada, however, it was a mistake on their part because it was obvious we weren't Canadians & if I asked for med-rare I should've been told that it was not possible. So long story short I refused the burger na by that time my daughter had already finished her steak & barely touched the fries, so I asked for the check 60$ Canadian dollars & some change. I left an 18% tip which turned out 70+$ because that's just me, but it was ridiculously overpriced & not up to par the day the least. Service is below average. Food=not good (I'm being nice!) Managment; should dress presentable at least. For a place that looks somewhat upscale you should dress more tastefully. Would not recommend! So many great places around!View more

The food was delicious, I really liked my burger & the duck poutine was a hit with my friends. We really liked the vintage ambiance of the place & the service was great. I highly recommend!
Great ambience! Great food & great service! I also got a free brownie with ice cream for my birthday! I would definitely recommend :)
Beautiful decor & charming ambience. I work steps away & decided to try something for take-out lunch today. I was greeted by the waiter who then helped me with my order. While waiting, the hospitable owner came over & introduced himself to me - always a nice touch!
I had the salmon tartare - which was absolutely delicious!
I'm looking forward to trying the rest of the items on the menu, I'd recommend anyone in the Old Montreal area to give it a try!
