The French onion soup is definitely the best I've ever had. & the dessert, pouding chômeur, was incredibly deliciousView more
This place is a must visit! Had the Beef tartare the creme brulee for dessert! Everything was to expectation & beyond!View more
Visited for dinner on a snowy March evening. Lovely soup & bavette. The carrot cake for dessert was delicious, & huge!View more
We spotted this place by walking by, driven by the cozy atmosphere & pretty decor we decided to make a reservation for dinner the next day. We indicated we were two couples with two babies, & a table with a great amount of space was waiting for us, which made us feel instantly welcome. The atmosphere was pretty local & easy going, we even made some friends with two girls that were dining solo (one was reading a book accompanied with a drink)! The food was just AMAZING; we had the gnocchi Mac & cheese, the lamb, the mushroom raviolis, shepherds pie & meatballs (in order of favorite to less favorite). For dessert we had pudding Chomeur & crème brûlée. Even the cappuccinos were amazing. This was our last night at Montreal & couldn't have been happier with the choice. Can't recommend this place enough, thanks to all the staff for making it a great evening, & of course the kitchen & bar staff as well. We will definitely come back!!!View more
We stumbled here by chance & were impressed with this lovely bistro. I had the best French Onion Soup with real Gruyère cheese & beer broth & al. The Entrecôte Steaks were also wonderful. Great wine selection. We went with Sicilian Option. Finally dessert & Cafe Macchiato was great finale!View more
We visited Vallier Bistro as part of the MTL à Table event, & it was a memorable experience. While the service was a bit slow, the overall experience more than made up for it. The Toblerone martini was the highlight of the evening-it's absolutely divine, almost addictive, like a dessert & a cocktail rolled into one. The food was equally impressive, especially the oysters, which were fresh & perfectly prepared. Every bite & sip felt indulgent. The beef tartare was also divine. The location is ideal, & the ambiance inside is classy & elegant, making it a perfect spot for a special occasion or an upscale evening out. Despite the slow service, I'd return in a heartbeat for the drinks, food, & atmosphere.View more
Les plats principaux sont ok.View more
Stopped in late, a couple on their way out told us we were making the right choice, & they were right! Very friendly waitstaff, great food. The maple pudding is an exceptional dessert, not to be missed. Definitely worth a visit.View more
We had a great dinner here last night! Everything was so good!! Marinated olives, poutine with duck, prosciutto pasta, & specials: gazpacho, fried chicken thighs, & small mac & cheese. Everything came out perfect, & our kids ate & enjoyed too. Dave room for dessert- we had classic cheesecake & the maple pudding.View more

Very nice & fairly priced. The'Montreal' feeling is very much present. The menu & atmosphere are a nice mix of modern & classic. Do not skip the pudding chomeur as a dessert, it is worth it!View more
Welcoming, cozy atmosphere. Friendly & attentive staff. You can tell they enjoy working there. Good wine selection, I enjoyed a Gamay. The soup of the day was a cream squash & was delicious. My entree was steak & frites, & was perfectly made. For dessert I had pudding chomer a maple pudding with cream, one of the best desserts that I have ever had.View more
Très bel endroit ! Belle ambiance! Excellent service !
Really enjoyed our lunch at Vallier. The calamari was excellent, & their house salad was very tasty & well dressed. The highlight of the meal was by far the dessert - it was absolutely delicious! My fiance was not planning on having any so I ordered it for myself, but upon having one bite of it he ended up eating most of it lol
Service efficace & sympathique. Ma salade tiède était excellente. Petite déception côté dessert, un pudding chômeur trop sucré & pas assez consistant à mon goût.
Very nice service including a nice candle & song for a birthday at dessert.
