We made a booking a bit too late so we were seated in the back terrace. We could barely the band play but that was OK. The sound was very good on the back terrace plus we got to hangout with Steve Turre & the band after has amazing set. We had a great time.View more

My wife & I have been going to the Upstairs Jazz Bar & have enjoyed the food, ambience & great jazz for many years. The intimate atmosphere of this iconic jazz club is perfectly suited for both traditional & modern jazz bands to play in. Excellent food & a great bar along with great service contribute to very pleasant & enriching dinner & jazz evenings!
Joel Giberovitch is an outstanding owner & host who has been serving the Montreal jazz community for over 30 years! Upstairs is deservedly a regular venue in the Montreal Jazz Festival.View more

I was able to get a last minute single seat to an amazing performance by Steve Turre's band. It was a front row seat! Not only was the band great, the ambiance was perfect & the staff were some of the nicest I have ever encountered. This is the perfect spot to hear jazz! Thank you!!View more
