Across many visits, Lucille's Avenue des Canadiens is described as a lively, welcoming venue with a standout seafood lineup including oysters and lobster rolls, solid steaks, and a versatile menu that suits pregame dinners, family outings, or casual nights with friends. The service is frequently praised for attentiveness and speed, cocktails are well regarded, and the downtown location makes it convenient before events. While busy nights can be loud and some portions may vary, guests consistently note tasty food, generous servings, and a vibrant, friendly atmosphere.
The restaurant delivers a great overall experience in many respects. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was vibrant, & our waiter provided outstanding, attentive service. Table service was also impressively quick.
However, the front door management during event days needs significant improvement. Guests were left waiting in line for over two hours, even while tables appeared to be available inside. This understandably led to frustration, with many people losing patience & leaving.
Additionally, the tone at the entrance could be more welcoming. Some interactions came across as dismissive &, at times, rude, which set a negative first impression. A more organized & client-focused approach at the door would go a long way.
If the goal is to encourage customers to return, especially on non-event days, it's important that guests feel valued & well-treated during peak times as well.
Food was far too expensive for what we ordered. Frys were very salty. Meal salad was the size of an entree. Drinks were nice but very overpriced even for downtown prices.

I organized a lunch for my company, 80 people total! The efficiency & communication with their events team was top notch. On site, we got served fast, the food was amazing & fresh (my standards are pretty high 😉). We had an amazing time. I would highly recommend.
We went for dinner after learning our concert was canceled. The restaurant was busy, but the food & drinks were great. The waitress was busy, but the atmosphere was nice.
What an Excellent restaurant! They have impeccable service (shout out to our server Judy!) & the everything we ordered was amazing. The raw oysters were super fresh, clam chowder was filled with clams, & every steak options we selected (4) were cooked to perfection. Definitely a must visit even in Montreal!

What a game last night! Pre-drinks are always a good idea at Lucille's, place is bumping, then a delicious ribeye after the game for the W. Great service thanks.

We were visiting Montreal this past weekend with our two children (ages 2&4). I hadn't read many reviews about people bringing young children, so wanted to leave one about our excellent experience! All of our food was incredible & the service was amazing! The drinks & food came out very fast which made dining much more enjoyable with young children. Would definitely recommend & will come again next time we visit - you can't beat the $1 oysters! 😃
