One of the nicest restaurants I've ever been to! The service was great & the food was delicious. The AC was also deeply appreciated on this hot day. We purely loved the experience. I highly recommend it.

C'est très bon ..le service est rapide..c'est un endroit très occuper & brouillant mais avant le shopping quand on est en ville..c'est la bonne place ..je le recommende & je vais surement y retourner.
This place is great! They have 2 for 1 martini nights on fridays & 2 for 1 on wine & beer between 5 to 7 for the remaining days of the week! I come often with my friends & family! I had a their Grilled Salmon House Salad which was recommended to me by my waiter who really made the experience great! He was nice enough to show my daughter directions & tips concerning her acceptance at Mcgill! He even went out of his way to draw her a map of the campus so she wouldn't get lost! Cool guy! Good restaurant! The food is nothing amazing, but it is tasty & not too expensive.
Went there for dinner an hour ago, when we paid the check the waitress came back asking for more tip money. She said if we didn't give her more money she would have to pay for it out of her own pocket, we have been to many places in Montreal including this very restaurant earlier today & have never heard of anything like this. She said we would not understand how this works since we aren't from here. I gave her 5 dollars & she went away. This was very embarassing since we were with company. I hope they fire her. They need to hire people with better manners. I'm never going to this place again & will make sure that no one I know goes there either. We sat inside by the window & had 2 infants with us in case the restaurant management is reading this.
I am happy i found this hidden restaurant during my stay in montreal; their menu is a bit pricey, but it is definately well worth it! Everything was so fresh; it gives you the energy needed for the rest of the day!
Loved everything about the place. The food was delicious. & nice modern fancy decor. I had a breakfast pizza. So different & tasty, sweet & salty with a hint of cinnamon. I ate it all! My boyfriend got the breakfast poutine which was also amazing although really heavy. The chai latte was also delicious. The only Negative point was that it was very loud & over crowded.
My family & I went to Universel for breakfast & absolutely loved it! There are a lot of choices on the menu - something for everyone. We ordered the fresh squeezed orange juice, bagel with cream cheese, fruit cup, eggs & sausage, & a croissant. The waitress was pleasant & attentive. Another waitress came over, smiled at my little girl (19 months), patted her head & told us she was beautiful. The food was all perfectly cooked & seasoned - waitress asked if I wanted ketchup on the homefries & I told her no, it would ruin them. When my daughter started to act up & we wanted to pay the bill & leave, they were quick to help us out & put leftovers in a to-go bag for us. There were other families with small children there too. Although I wouldn't say that this is a place for kids, it's definitely family-friendly. We'll go back again.
Terrible service, & no air conditioning nor fans when it was 32degC outside! Food was nothing special. Don't waste your time or money on this place, plenty of other great places in Montreal that have the same food, & with much better service, & it won't feel like you are sitting in sweat shop when you are eating!
Don't waste your time. We made reservations 2 weeks before for a birthday & when we got there they didn't have our reservations! They did nothing to accommodate us. Totally pissed us off.
I was a little nervous & apprehensive to try out this place after having read a mixture of reviews (where the negative reviews were pretty bad), but I decided to go ahead & try it anyways for a gathering with a few friends of mine. It was Boxing Day, so it was super busy inside, but luckily I had made reservations so we got our table right away. The hostess was very kind & served me right away despite the crowd of people that were in between & around us, & our waitress was so sweet. The food was delicious! I was impressed by not only the flavour but the presentation (at least for most of us); one of my friends had the poutine & I guess it isn't their specialty so my friend didn't really enjoy it. However the service did make up for whatever lacked. I don't know if we were just lucky to have such a nice waitress (whereas reading other people's experiences they had rude service) but I'm just glad that our visit was a pleasant one. I would probably go back there for brunch another time, hopefully it'll be yet another good experience.
Right in the heart of Peel Street, this vibrant restaurant with an ultra-modern & elegant décor was a pleasant surprise, particularly the outdoor dining area which was very comfortable.
La nourriture délicieuse, à des prix abordables, bien assaisonnée & le service impeccable.
On songe d'y retourner sans doute.
Having been to this restaurant a few times, my last visit with a group of friends was not very good. The food is good but not over-the-top however it is very reasonably priced. The service was extremely slow & we had to ask for our bills twice. I noticed that our waiter did not seem to have an assigned section as we was serving clients all over the place, which I guess made the service quite inefficient.
I was there for drinks with a friend more recently & the bartender was very nice & friendly!
