Enfin un restaurant de sushis digne de ce nom dans Griffentown. En plus c'est un resto apportez votre vin alors aucune raison de ne pas y aller. Aussi, peu importe ce que vous prendrez vous aimerez. Si vous hésitez essayez la soupe miso infusée au homard, un délice. Les sashimis fondent dans la bouche & les Tokyo ou le Lox sont delicieux.
The sushi was excellent, but unfortunately, the shrimp nigiri had an off smell, so we couldn't eat it. On a positive note, the service & atmosphere were both exceptional.

I had an amazing experience at Umamia! The food was outstanding from start to finish, with each dish-from appetizers to desserts-showcasing incredible flavors. It's rare to find a restaurant that pushes the envelope with innovative sushi recipes, but Umamia truly delivers on this front. The server & chef were extremely friendly, & the chef took the time to explain each dish in detail. I highly recommend trying their signature Montreal Roll-it's a standout. The prices are also reasonable, & the location is conveniently situated. Overall, Umamia is a must-visit for anyone looking for exceptional sushi & a memorable dining experience.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm & inviting atmosphere that set the tone for a perfect evening. Service: The service was outstanding, thanks to our server, Pierre-Marc. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, & knowledgeable about the menu. He went above & beyond to ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Sushi Preparation: One of the highlights of our visit was watching Chef Fanny work her magic. We could see her from our table prepare all of our sushis, showcasing her incredible skills & artistry. As she crafted each roll, she took the time to explain every ingredient & the inspiration behind each creation. Her passion for sushi was evident, & it truly enhanced our dining experience. Food Quality: The sushis themselves were a masterpiece. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, & perfectly balanced. The variety of rolls offered a delightful mix of textures & tastes that kept our taste buds dancing with joy. It's clear that Chef Fanny outdid herself, & each piece was a testament to her culinary expertise.
Wonderful night! Service was great & food was delicious. There were different options, we had almost all the different sushi & we liked all of them (mostly the Tokyo). Highly recommend!
Amazing restaurant, came with my family & it was probably the best sushi restaurant in Montreal we've ever tried. Great atmosphere & top-notch service from the servers. We highly recommend this restaurant:)

Repas excellent (mention spéciale pour la soupe miso & l urumaki Tokyo), service impeccable (respect de nos contrainteshoraires). Sachant que le restaurant est récent, si je devais donner des petits points d'optimisation qui n'ont en rien entachés notre expérience : cuire le riz entre 30 sec & 1 min de plus, bien former les chef sushi pour qu'il ne laisse pas de partie nerveuse dans le poisson, sashimi avec moins d'épaisseur. Nous reviendrons assurément, & recommandons ce lieu à tous les amateur de bon restaurant Japonais.
Nous avons passé un excellent moment chez Umamia hier soir pour notre anniversaire de mariage. La soupe miso infusée au homard canadien était absolument délicieuse, tandis que les sushis étaient de belle qualité, très bien exécutés avec du poisson tout ce qu'il y a de plus frais. Le service était impeccable, avec des serveurs aux petits soins. Nous avions une contrainte de temps, que nous leur avons soumise, & ils se sont pliés en quatre pour la respecter. Nous ne pouvions pas être plus satisfaits de notre repas ! Merci, nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir & vous recommanderons vivement auprès de nos amis.
Wonderful experience! The service was on point & this was one of the best poke bowls I've eaten! A really cozy design & just makes your meal even better! Definitely will come back

Très belle première expérience chez Umamia. Nous avons partager le « plateau expérience », super bien travaillé & vraiment excellent. Mention spéciale à notre serveur Pierre-Marc, très professionnel & très sympathique. Je recommande fortement !
J'ai récemment eu l'occasion de déguster un poke bowl au saumon mi-cuit dans ce restaurant en plein centre de Montréal, & ce fut une véritable explosion de saveurs en bouche ! Les ingrédients étaient frais, ce qui a vraiment rehaussé l'expérience culinaire. Le personnel est très sympa, & accueillant, Je recommande vivement cette adresse à tous les amateurs de cuisine japonaise :)
