Sushis absolument délicieux - le sushi'Montréal' m'a fait pleurer! Saveurs surprenantes, belle présentation. Le bol était aussi excellent, avec une bonne combinaison de saveurs. Je recommande vivement!

TLDR; Unique rolls, fresh seafood, & attention to detail! Highly recommend the salmon & shiitake mushroom yakitori, & the Hanami.

YAKITORI ASSORTMENT (5 pc, $28)
- They were out of eggplant, so we replaced it with an extra salmon yakitori skewer.
- Seasoned very well, each skewer has its unique taste despite using the same maple glazed sauce. The shiitake one was a highlight; juicy, packed with umami. Different from your conventional yakitori & well executed.

TRIO SASHIMI (12 pc, $32)
- Very fresh, thick cut sashimi pieces
- Would like to see more seafood varieties in future (eg. octopus, sweet shrimp, squid) included in a sashimi set

URAMAKI
- HANAMI ($25): my favourite, the Unagi (eel) on top of each roll was very flavourful & tender
- GRIFFIN ($27): very creamy, my least favourite out of the three, couldn't really appreciate the torched salmon
- OKINAWA ($25): the orange on top adds a vibrancy to the roll & worked well with the flavours
- If I were to return, I would opt for 6 pc over 8 pc for the rolls, as the portion size is more than it appears & due to the heavier tastes of the ones with mayo

I also agree with another reviewer that I would prefer that the soy sauce be switched to a low sodium type.

Umamia is the place to go if you are looking for some delicious yet fun sushi either the freshest fish! The service was superbe & our servers provided us the best recommendations (especially the OFF the menu pistachio cheesecake which my highlights of the night hehe). I have nothing bad to say about Umamia, so I definitely recommend to check it out with some friends. FYI: It is a must to try anything eel!

C'est le restaurant parfait pour une date night, mon copain & moi venons au moins une fois par mois!
Le service est incroyable & la nourriture est exceptionnelle!

Avec ma conjointe nous sommes allé suivre le cours de confection de sushi le 22 février 2026 avec le chef Tam. Ce fut une très belle expérience. Les informations & techniques de travail des sushis étaient fort intéressantes. Je recommande cet atelier à celles & ceux qui souhaitent faire des sushis eux même à la maison. La fraîcheur des poissons utilisés était excellente. L'ambiance était conviviale.
